I love how Bama should have won the game, but somehow always just lets the other team win. How does Saban keep losing these games that they absolutely should have won, like the Iron Bowl last year? or the other two games last year as well.
With all that first round talent too.

LOL at these LSU fans trollin asking if game has passed Saban by.
1. Saban was giving LSU a middle finger by kicking those FGs. He knew LSU couldn't move the ball. We got 6 points out of all those missed field goals and field position opportunities. All of that and LSU still couldn't score. He was being aggressive. I liked it.
2. Bama beat themselves. Saying LSU won this game themselves is pretty deceptive. LSU capitalized off Alabama's mistakes. McCarron missed two TDs. Maze doesn't throw a rainbow that's a TD. McCarron gives up field position on INTs- leads to LSU points and avoids having to make a drive at all.
Hate to say it but saying LSU is a better team is horse crap. They could play 10 times and I bet you they split them. Any given day. If LSU is 1A, then Alabama is 1A.1

bama ran 17 plays from LSU's 30 or better, the result?...minus 12 yards. This isn't 'Dance with the Midgets', where style points count
How many plays did LSU run from Alabama's 30? What were the rsults? How many of those plays were the result of the offense getting them there.

Miles didn't take risks nor was his offense able to do jack squat outside of a busted coverage. Alabama's offense was at least able to move the ball. We had numerous blown plays that basically pissed the game away. The score could have just as easily ended up 20-6 Bama. Bama outplayed LSU and is the better team. Miles made no difference at all in this game. His team was stymied. Alabama threw the game away on its own.
Epitome of butthurt.

Miles has evolved into the better game day coach in these match ups between LSU and Bama
After the last two years I agree. Then again, these games are always so tight that it comes down to who makes the least mistakes. Saban made mistakes trying long FGs and not pinning LSU deep. It hurt them

Not all of us can just get the crap kicked out of us three times in one year.

I'll have to take your word for it. Spell check says I spelled it correctly. By the way, y'all got a fine football team there.

Do we get any credit for the great plays our players made? Int by Claiborne? Int by Reid? Blocked FG by Logan? Holding Bama to <100 yds rushing? Sack in OT by Montgomery?

It can be spelled either way.
ETA: But I've never heard anyone pronounce it the way you've spelled it.

Has evolved? I don't think there's been any question that he's been the better game day coach in this matchup every year they've played. Saban builds great teams, and has built better teams than Miles in some years, but on game days when they have met, Miles has consistently done better. 2007 is really the only year when you could say that Saban got a better result than the talent levels and overall team qualities suggested he should.
And he lost that one. His better result was losing closer than he should have.

contrarianism != intelligence...and I say that as a proud contrarian.
LSU won the game because they are a more complete team and the staff played their cards wisely

These Bammers want it both ways but they can't both have a better team and a better coach...
Either they have a better team and a bad coach who can't minimize player mistakes...or a significantly worse team that their better coach had playing better than their skill level but not quite good enough...
Either option isn't very comforting for them
