If we were comparing them to figure out who is the better player and has better personal stats, I agree. But we're looking at them in the context of a game between Alabama and FSU, and sack numbers matter because they will most likely happen again in the first game of 2017 against us, IMHO.

I think Bama will win

I just think Hurts is a very bad passer. Like very bad. Yall reminded me so much of LSU 2011. Yall looked dominant, even on offense ( high scoring due to defensive domination and turnovers and run game), and then you could see how exposed you were offensively at the end of the year because your QB was shite throwing the ball.

I wouldnt be surprised for Hurts not to be the started much longer at Bama. I think the flying Hawaiian is the real deal.

I expect Hurts to be a better passer this year. I don't expect him to be Peyton Manning, but I expect him to be serviceable. However, if he isn't this year, I doubt he ever will be. This is the offseason to make a big jump.

It's certainly possible. If so, this year will be rough. The friction of yanking a kid like Hurts and then playing another true freshman would not be great, but if it's the best move it's the best move. I hope it doesn't end up being though haha. Too much drama for me.

To be fair most of Jalen's passes were 1 foot jet sweeps.

I fricking cant wait to run jet sweeps and quick outs. Its good for easy yards and getting shitty qbs into a rythym. We on the other hand, have been running 2 WR sets where the "easy" pass is a 25 yard crossing route through the teeth of the defense

Our hope is for a beautiful baby made by the Kiffin flash and your old I-formation sets.

Florida State can win this game. They are loaded on the defensive front and in the secondary. Key is has there O-line improved? They were very inconsistent last year and had a lot to do with Francois struggles. I think it's a toss up 31-27 type game where a play or two will be the difference.

Based on their Spring game the answer is a resounding "No." They looked abysmal.

Hurts isn't a very bad passer. Furthermore, he is a much better QB than who yall had at QB in 2011.

We play them one at a time. Next up, A-Day.

Bama by a bunch. Noles are soft.

This game is arguably a "throw away" game, meaning it doesn't matter who wins, since either can win out and make the CFP.
I wonder if that will be in the nacks of any player's mind?

It would be a shame but I'm hoping a meteor hits that brand new stadium (if it's even finished before the game) and both teams perish in a raging inferno. LOL Just kidding for the pussies on the rant who can't take a joke.

L6U would kill to have hurts, they have some garbage Purdue transfer instead. Sky's the limit with Jalen.

Hurts isn't a very bad passer.
He is mediocre at best as it stands. A lot of his deficiencies were masked through wide receiver screens and pop passes, which was a great set-up by Lane Kiffin. He struggled to throw the ball downfield. Alabama won in spite of him down the stretch, and he ultimately killed the offense in the biggest game of the year.

Getting away from the bad, his running ability is rare and should continue to be taken advantage of. He is a tough player and rarely loses his cool. He is mature beyond his age for sure.
