How do you guys feel about Mr. Pruitt and his potential as a head coach one day? I know when he went to UGA he was being viewed a potential big time coach one day. Really surprised USCe didn't choose him over Muschamp.

He comes across way too dumb to ever be a big time college football coach.

Pruitt was the man who pushed Richt to hire Rob Sale (OL coach) and Mark Hocke (S&C coach) last year. They were both complete failures, so I would question Pruitt's decision making on coaching hires.

I am not, not at all

Pruitt is a loose cannon

YES - I was ready for a change & glad we replaced Richt

BUT; he undermined Richt during the season

he left FSU after a very short stint

the guy is an arse & is not a leader, or rather, he has no business being "the guy"

I have a lot of respect for his coaching and recruiting abilities. Yeah, he will be a head coach at some point. And sooner rather than later, imo.

HC? I don't know...tough to say really. But he's an oustanding DC that's for sure.

I'm sure bowl will be here any minute to tell you how much he hates the guy, also did you know they were at hoover at the same time?

There's literally a website dedicated to the dumb shite our coach says.

He's an inbred redneck. Does well with Saban or in a one year situation with 10 NFL draft picks on D. Other that, he's slaw.

He can be pretty abrasive with the rest of the staff. He did a great job as DC, but I'm not sure hwo that would translate as a HC. Gut feeling is he would struggle. He would be very difficult to work with and/or for.

The guy knows football and recruits his arse off.

Not sure I'd want him being the face of my program though, PR wise. At least not until he's a little more seasoned.

After leaving the HS ranks he's proven to be excellent either as a position coach or DC. He's done it at bama, done it at FSU, and done it at UGA.

And you have a nice tidy excuse for each stop lol.

Didn't UGA rank near the top of every defensive cats gory with him? And the national title at FSU didn't hurt.

Gave up 32 and 38 points to Tennessee while at UGA. He's great.

He improved the hell out of our defense with less. Number one pass D in the country last year with no draft picks in the secondary.

But as others have pointed out, he's a loose cannon. I wouldn't trust the guy with my team, tbh. Good DC, not sure fire can't miss HC. He'll get a shot somewhere but I think it will be somewhere like Kentucky or something like that. Not a team like LSU.

Never liked him when he was at Alabama before, or at FSU, or Ga. One reason is he recruits complete thugs of questionable character wherever he goes. The famous Alabama foursome who assaulted those students etc., were ALL recruited by Pruitt. Same thing at FSU. And then he had problems at Ga.

He was a high school coach known for chasing wool, and that continued through his career. Frankly he reminded me of Barry Switzer, no moral compass. Plus he thinks a bit to highly of himself and seems to cause internal descension within an organization. The reason is his unbridled ego and desire to promote himself regardless of team dynamics. In short I never thought of him as a good team player. He was on the cusp of being fired at Ga when Saban threw him a life line.

I was not pleased when he was hired this time...but maybe I'm wrong and old fashioned. Personally I would not want him to be the face of my major college football program.

If I'm LSU, though, I might give him a long look. Never met the guy, but he has had a great deal of success everywhere he's been and has now learned from some very successful head coaches. He's now developed one of the best asst. coach resumes in the business,

He's played and coached at Alabama. If he was to get a major head coaching job and have success, he would be a prime candidate at UA one day.

Did Pruitt recruit Cam Robinson and not suspend him to? The dude who was caught red handed with drugs and a stolen gun.
