Absolutely nonsense.

Phil Simms certainly never played RB.

Bama doesn't need a QB.

The opponents in 09,11 and 12 are not the same. The SEC Offenses were built around the power game. Those are the teams that Saban could dominate.

Maybe in '09 and '11 (but even in '09 we finished the season off against 3 teams - Florida, Auburn, Texas - that weren't built around the power game)...in '12, I'd say Michigan, Ole Miss, MSU, A&M, Auburn, and ND were all pretty much running the spread then (and UGA had a mix of power and finesse)...

This year if he has to get into a scoring contest, they could be in trouble.

This is a distinct possibility. If our QB battle doesn't pan out as well as last year and if our D, in particular our secondary, doesn't improve from the the past 2 seasons, we could indeed be in trouble, at least as far as the SECCG and play-offs go...

Bama will handle Wiscy with ease. We beat them with no QB at all. Ole Miss won't score enough to beat Bama

This year's defense could be on par with 2011 if the secondary comes together. Bama's also got maybe the best punter in the nation. They will probably have another strong running game if recent history is any indication.

Even if Bama has subpar QB play, they can keep it simple with ball control and be in pretty good shape against most teams. Granted though, there are a few opponents where that probably won't cut it.

this could be the year that Bama struggles early and often. Granted the defense may keep them in games but the teams in the sec west will bring the mojo offensively this year.

It could be but typically when Saban has something to prove, he does.
