how did Alabama do against Clemson's pass offense in the title games Clemson won, and the first one Clemson lost?

I don't dispute Alabama made some big plays on CLemson's defense. But the onside kick play probably changed the outcome of the game. No biggie, Clemson was without Mike Williams (neck injury) and Deon Cain (suspended) that year.

No. It was what happened two plays later that changed the game. You stoned us on first down and then Coker let loose a beautiful pass to a wide open OJ Howard for a TD on second down.

Howard = Wide Open

Your team can't go undefeated against an ACC schedule.

the year Clemosn with Watson lost to Pitt at home, they beat Alabama for the natty.

you are indirectly admitting the ACC is good.

the year Clemson beat Alabama and went 15-0 with Lawrence, they obvisly didn't lose in the ACC. reality is Syracuse gave Clemson a better game that year , at Clemson. Our backup QB had to convert a 4th and long.

this seems like a NC State kind of excuse. not something a proud Alabama person would resort to.

ya'll were up 14 points in that game and Clemson had two turnovers.

Clemson is done. They haven’t won a title since it was discovered they were stealing play calls and Veneble is gone.

lol

ya'll never learn

question i have is, how is alabama unable to disguise their calls, if it is true Dabo's staff could easily decipher them. why didn't the SEC teams? lol

are you trying to say the SEC teams knew Saban's play calls and didn't adjust out of ethics? lol

c'mon man

You think bama fans care about baseball. We don't even really care about basketball

That's also a good question for the 1989 SEC slate Alabama played when Homer Smith was our offensive coordinator and revolutionized our offense. We ran through the SEC with one of the best offenses in school history to that point in time, reached the Iron Bowl undefeated and ranked #2, before getting beaten by them in Jordan-Hare. It turned out they had somehow managed to steal our offensive signals and then gave them to Miami for our Sugar Bowl match-up with them. Would them not knowing our signals have affected the outcome of either game? We will never know.

There's nothing illegal about stealing offensive signals in college football. However, it is bad form and poor sportsmanship.

That was a reply to an excuse you made as to why dabo was 2-2.

That loss was on Saban for continuing to play Jalen when it was clear he couldn't get the job done.

Who was behind Jalen Hurts in 2016 who could have made our offense better in that championship game? Blake Barnett transferred in a huff mid-season. Cooper Bateman had already shown what he could do against SEC competition the year before and David Cornwell was a true freshman who ended up never amounting to anything.

Yep. After the CWS you all get to watch us make a run at a national title again. The spring isn't our time of year. The fall is nothing but Bama.

Regarding your comment about NIL hurting Clemson:

Per TigerNet,

"Clemson (12 commits) moved up to third in the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, trailing only Notre Dame (15 commits) and Texas Tech (20 commits)".

a 4 star linebacker out of GA just committed a few minutes ago

You ain't wrong. I would have liked to see him try anything at that point though. It was clear from Mississippi state on through the auburn loss that Jalen was done mentally. I'm not at practice though and I ain't Saban.

I assume you are talking about the 2017 season because in 2016, we beat Auburn and Mississippi State was the zenith of Jalen Hurts's regular season career at Alabama. The dude was 27-38 and passed for 347 yards and 4 TDs. He also ran the ball 11 times for 100 yards and an additional touchdown. We won that game 51-3. After that, Jalen started going down hill and never recovered until the second half of the 2018 SEC Championship Game.

I predict at least two losses.

Alabama is a double-digit favorite against everyone on their schedule.

Odds are better for Alabama to go undefeated than having a loss.

When 247 comes out with their roster talent ranking Alabama will be the overwhelming #1.

You're right, I'm confusing the seasons.
