I know that these "commitments" don't really mean much this early, but at least it is some football news.

Nice, y'all picked up a fricking 20yr old junior in HS. I'm sure he'll be enrolling early alright.

Vigor..LeFlore..Blount...Williamson are the 4 Schools that have sent many Players to The SEC From The Mobile area. Auburn Benefited from many of these especially Vigor and Blount.
Williamson sent Jemarcus Russell To LSU. Can't name Off Hand who Le Flore sent? Tee Martin came out of one of these schools as well. Daphne High is another Hot Bed..and Now St. Paul's (A.J. Mc Carron for one).

I'm sure we do it too... I guess.

Isn't there an age limit to still be attending high school?

I don't know of any SEC school (Except Vandy) who cares if the Kid can qualify to be a Rhodes Scholar. It's what he can do on the Football Field which in turns brings in Mucho Pesos to The school. If he can't read..they'll get someone to teach him etc. Most of these kids want a shot in the NFL and they'll be 3 years then out to the Pros.

The ones who Make the NFL can come back later to get their degree if they wish The ones who don't make the NFL...?

I remember back in high school we had a guy on our team that could not play the up coming season because he was going to turn 20 during the season but he was a senior going into the season...

Now this was in '87 and in Louisiana, Gumpland doesn't have age requirements for high school?

I'm not making this up...Many Many years ago living just North of Mobile Went to our Local HS Friday night game (Ex's Alma Mater). Anyway this Kid on the other team they were playing Catches a pass and is running down field and sitting on our right was a young Mother holding a baby and about a 4 year old..starts hollering "Go Daddy...RUN RUN!"
I liked to fell out! I Mean Mom never hushed her..I still wonder how old the kid was who caught the Pass?

Dude is 18 and will be over the 19 y/o age limit by 6 days.
He will graduate in December and be trucking LSU defenders in 2010.
