2007 - We were much better and let you hang around, counts
2008 - We had a young QB, doesn't count.
2009 - We had the lead late in the 4th quarter and Peterson had an interception and we would have scored, doesn't count.
2010 - Even game - counts
2011 (1) - You missed 4 FGs > 45 yrds. We settled for a FG at the 1 ft line at the end of the 1st half and kicked a FG in OT instead of getting a touchdown. Should have beat you worse than we did, counts
2011 (2) - Game should not have been played, doesn't count
So based upon the logic applied by the Gumps, Les Miles SHOULD BE 3 - 0 vs Alabama. Sweet, I feel much better about the game this weekend. I kind of like looking at things this way. Maybe you guys are on to something.

It made up for the reg season game last year 7 fold. Both on the score board and in the trophy room.

No idiot, I admit we lost that game. Congrats...it was one game. I don't think you should have been in it, but who cares, you got it. You are the only BCS champion to not win your division or conference...whootie freakin doo.
The thing is, what if 01/09 was the anamoly and, instead, the series of 5 regular season games that Alabama is leading by an avg. of 22.40 pts to 22.00 is more the reality. You guys just can't look past 01/09, when you had EVERYTHING in your favor.

I think most people outside the purple and gold fanbase would agree that the anomaly(correct spelling of the word btw) would be the OT game and the 21 point thrashing would be the reality. It's much easier to luck 3 points. 21 points is pretty decisive.
