Tee Martin
Matt Flynn
Greg McElroy
Cam Newton

NO QB on the Bama roster have the skill set the guys above had to take the team to a BCS title on the first try. This was evident watching them in person yesterday.

Matt Flynn lost 2 games and still won a national championship.

West looks a whole lot different than it did then.

While I don't disagree with your assertions and have no doubt that a season like 2007 is a real rarity, you shouldn't judge teams by how they look on paper. As they say: "shite happens."

Jay Barker was hardly a pocket passer or even a game manager in 1992. Yet the defense and the running game was good enough to win it all, despite Barker's shoddy play.

I have no doubt McCarron and Sims, in their present forms, are much better than Barker was in '92.

Got mixed feelings after watching that yesterday...

Bama is going to be hell on D...so you will be in every game you play- but you guys will struggle in 3-4 games because of your offense having to stay pretty conservative due to your QB's.

Losing 2 games is very likely- but I dont think your D lets you lose more than that

LSU lost 2 games, not Flynn. Both of which were after the Dorsey injury and were in trip OT. Flynn in fact had a separated shoulder during the Arky game and still had a chance to win it. Less Miles was the reason for that.
We certainly wish we had him now.

2 losses could mean 12 wins, though. That's a successful season. I won't be shocked when every team in the SEC has at least 2 losses this season.. schedules are tough, teams are loaded, etc.

Hell, LSU may have 3 losses.

10-2 regular season won't surprise me at all. Neither will 12-0. Both are very possible.

Ala wil be fine if the o-line does well and D's have to bite on play-action.

If not, hello 2nd tier bowl.

I kind of feel like your run-game/OL will be fine.. it comes down to the QB and how he handles pressure. If he doesn't handle it well you're screwed.. if he does, hello BCS bowl.

I rewatched the game yesterday, and Sims looked VERY impressive IMO in the second half. He was making some big time throws, and checking down very good. I'm excited about him. I think he has to be our guy for this season.

Well shite. Back to the drawing board.

But really, I could be QB of this Bama team and they'd still be very good. It's not hard to hand the ball to TR behind a veteran offensive line. Few teams will score more than 14 points on this Bama defense.

But if a team goes 3 and out on every series, the D wears thin at some time and will lose more than 2 games...8-4 best for Bama

So does that mean LSU is going to go 5-7?? Because our Aday game QB stats>>>>>>LSU's Aday game QB stats.
