Yeah a bit overdiscussed, but considering Saban was our coach first, and we've definitely crested since he left, that's the reason for the discussion. Without Saban, both LSU and Bama would probably still be stuck in their respective ruts from the 90's.

Bull - if both FSU and OSU lose, Bama gets another mulligan. They will then have the chance to win a second backed-into NC game.

The fact he was "your coach first" gives LSU fans a sense of entitlement when it comes to Saban. He made a short pit stop before coming to bigger and better things....that is all.

Can we get the green light from the backed-into poster child that is LSU?

You mean the LSU team that won the SEC in 2007? Or the Bama team that didn't even win it's Division in 2011 or 2013?

The 3rd best team in the SEC in 2011, Bama.

Here is a scenario for you..The aforementioned one and two lose and Oklahoma beats Okie Light.
They won't jump Michigan State all the way from 10 no matter how much you beg.
There have been enough media wanting the rematch and plenty of people including Vegas that still think Alabama is the best team.
We get in and I get rich selling purple and gold and orange and blue bibs(non logo so they are legal) to catch all the flying spittle and rain of tears that would break out.

Sounds like a lot like 2012 and what a lot of you want this year. Without the media pumping, Bama wouldn't be anything the past few years
The tears are still flowing from 2 years ago. That loss will haunt you for the rest of your life.

One week after Gus Bowl and gumps still in the bargaining stage of grief. Last stage is depression which sets in after this weekend.

No, depression sets in when you're invited to the Toys R' Us-Mothers Against Bulimia Bowl...and you're relieved.
