You are an idiot. He got fired because he was a horrible head coach against any team with a pulse and a running game.
In the B1G you need to stop the run. He belongs as a head coach in a league that passes the ball 90 percent of the time.

They only made it 9 to include the others. Alabama has 7 straight 10 win seasons.

9 wins a year at a shitty flyover school is impressive. Mike Riley will lead you back to the promised land I'm sure

He did just as well in the B1G as he did in the Big 12.

He couldn't come up with a good running defensive scheme if someone put a gun to his head. He was horrible. You aren't going to survive as a head coach if you hate recruiting. He hated to recruit.

Even with a terrible head coach we won the amount of games indicated in the original post.

He hated to recruit? Or do recruits hate Nebraska?

Winning 9 games in the Big 12 North/B1G West is super easy.
1998 was a long time ago........and yet every single Aggie constantly yaps about how weak the Big 12 is Can y'all not see that talking shite about a conference you only won ONE time makes you look stupid?

Well, last year their biggest win was Rutgers at home. Sooo...

umm, I am pretty sure that UGA under Richt ( since 2001) has had 9 10win seasons… so I guess that is close as well.

Bama has also won twelve games or more in five of the last seven seasons. That is pretty good, no matter what conference you are in.

OSU 10+ in 11 of last 13 (or 10 if the sugar bowl year is discounted) 9 years of 11+ wins

Should be easy in the SEC East as well. Wonder why Tennessee struggles to do it so much?

A new coach? Little brother status in the B10?

You get credit for it, but not as much as if you did it in a strong conference. Other than OSU, who from that conference has been consistently good during that stretch?

Nebraska had 25 consecutive 9+ win seasons during the Devaney-Osborne years, playing only 10 or 11 regular season games.

9 seems like an arbitrary number.
Bama would be leading the consecutive 10 win season category I believe. 7 years in a row.
Yes. Lower the number to 8 wins and LSU has 15 in a row.

9 games?
Dude, this isn't the 60'2 or 70's.

What Auburn Has accomplished since 1993 is even more impressive: over the past 22 years, we have the highest winning percentage (.68431) of any FBS team that hasn't had back-to-back 10-win seasons.
