Bama is built to stop I formation teams. Will give up yds and sometime victories. Saban still believes running the ball north and south and stopping the run wins championships.
Les built LSU to beat spread teams, which he does. He thought the spread would take over football and I think, still does. His players are light but quick.
With that said, the hiring of Saban at Bama made this one game paramount. There is way too much pressure on these kids and coaches when that game comes around.

Well this is a hilariously lazy take.
LSU ran almost half of it's offensive snaps out of gun last year, with 3 wide receiver sets in many of them.
Also, LSU didn't start building it's defense fast and small until Chavis came to town, and Aranda's defense isn't built the same way.

The spread HAS taken over football. Both teams in the title game last year were spread teams. You're a spread team now. Most of your league are spread teams now. The best team in the B1G is a spread team. The best team in the ACC is a spread team.

As much as I hate to admit it, bama does hold a place in all LSU fans' heads. Coulda, woulda, shoulda, Jim Mora shite out of the window. shite show in BCSNCG, followed by 4 straight regular season losses would have that effect on any fan of a team that's had the success that LSU's had since 2000. To act like that isn't the case is weak. A fan of a team like the MySafeSpace Tigers bringing it up is f'n hilarious, though.

Sooooo !!! I had friends lose everything in Katrina and even knew a few that lost their lives. This was painfully reminded to me as well my friends and family by your 'welcoming'fans in Tuscaloser in '05, '07, and '11.
I expect it wasn't as bad in '11 because of what happened there about 8 months earlier ?????

You're wrong. Bama has been winning because they are better. Fournette didn't gain yardage because Bama blew up the run game. 2012 and 2014 were anybody's game, but Bama executed two- minute offenses because they are well drilled. LSU looks like the three stoogers in a two minute situation.
