ON3 Roundtable

quote:

During a conversation with BamaOnline’s Tim Watts and Inside Texas’ Bobby Burton with On3’s JD PicKell, Watts broke down where Alabama has an edge over Texas in this game in the wake of Bryce Young moving on to the NFL and the Crimson Tide bringing in two new coordinators.

“I really wonder if it’s not the uncertainty for Texas,” Watts said on On3 Roundtable. “I mean, how are you planning for Alabama right now? Because Alabama can definitely scout out Texas.”

“You know they’ve got [Xavier] Worthy. You know they’ve got AD [Mitchell] the transfer from Georgia. Their offensive line’s good and you know who their quarterback is. So, Bama’s able to put some stuff in play. Texas, on the other hand, you can’t really scheme if you don’t know if it’s Jalen Milroe, you don’t know if it’s Tyler Buchner, and you don’t know if it’s Ty Simpson. So I think that’s an advantage” Watts said.

No way could I sleep well at night knowing I'd have to go up against these stone cold killers.

And to think, Texas's advantages are just in our receivers, QB, and offensive line

Texas will do what they always do in big games on the road - fold and lose big.

Bama’s biggest advantage over UT is the certainty of a much better, deeper roster

This will be a close game most likely.

Especially with it being so early in the year and Alabama operating with two new coordinators.

Imagine pretending you are a “blue blood” program when you have 1 national title in the last 50 years.

Now imagine you’re playing against a school who has accomplished more in the last decade than your alleged “blue blood” program has in its 100 + years of existence and you are talking shite to said school.

Couldn’t be a fanbase that delusional right? Well…

It’s an advantage to not have an established QB. Who knew. Those longhorns are playing chess.

You have it backwards, it was the Alabama insider saying that.

I think the fact that they're playing a mediocre program is Alabama's biggest advantage.

Yeah at this point I assume our QB will go out every time we play Bama.

The Big 12 isn’t even worried about Texas, so why would Bama?

A program always on the brink of greatness after a magical 8-5 season. That’s progress though, it’s nice to string together 1 winning season in a row

This is more likely to happen than anything Texas can plan for. And poor Arch is next in line.

Because they have such little material advantages against us that their insiders are resorting to fabricating the nonsense I originally posted.
