Is that the first game you've ever seen where an inferior team's QB put his team on his shoulders and carried them to a win?

It was a joke. But no. Andrew Zow says hello.

LOL the narrative shift is amazing

48 hours ago our players were overrated and sucked

Now we were the most talented team of all time and underachieved

But yea we did underachive. Anything less than a national title at this point is underachieving. Even a 14-1, 3rd straight SEC Title and losing the national title on the last play of the game season. It is what it is at Alabama now. The minute we stop thinking that way is the minute we turn into just another school.

Does it? I'm not real pleased with Auburn football right now but if my coach had 9 NFL players picked in the first three rounds and still couldn't win I would't be really happy about that either.

I don't believe you.

If your school had just won 3 sec championships in a row, been to every college football playoff that has existed and won one of them, you would be pretty pumped.

Anything can happen in a single football game. Sometimes the team with the most talent doesn't win. Happens all the time. Auburn should know better than anyone.

I'm unfamiliar with the former narrative. Going to need to link it.

The narrative highlighted above is actually something Paul Finebaum brought up recently. You could make a case that Saban has underachieved.

After all, he has the best players, equipment, and staff that money can buy.

Michael Jordan missed more shots than he made.

In the past, legends have under-achieved.

That's why they are legends. They learned and moved on to their next great achievement.

Is that really that hard to understand? Asking for a friend.

You could make a case that Bear Bryant underachieved. Or John Wooden. Or Vince Lombardi. Or Bellichick. You'd look retarded, but you definitely could do it.

But those are just factoids.

AKA legends.

Sad thing is more and more fans are thinking this way.
There is only one team that can win it all each year, but that does not mean all other teams sucked. I'm just as bad but I am now trying to just enjoy the
individual games played and move on from there.

Oh, so you're comparing the worlds greatest basketball player of all time, to a midget coach with a pocketbook and temper. Why don't you compare Saban to coaching legends like Wooden or Ditka and I'll pretend to forget that you compared Saban to Jordan

Jordan also went 6-6 in the finals as well.

You'd trade your retarded arse coach for Saban in a heartbeat.

Probably could since the Bear stockpiled players just to avoid playing against them.

Maybe so with Ditka and Wooden, but not Saban.

Is that even in question? Half the Auburn board thinks I'm a Bammer already, but come on, most Auburn fans would trade for Saban.
