I grew up watching Bryant coached teams. I had the pleasure of watching great defenses under Stallings. Saban may eventually supplant Coach for the number of Championships won at U of A, he certainly may supplant him for the frequency of the championships. I've lived through National Championships in 64, 65, 73, 78, 79, 92, 09, 11, 12, and 15.

I've lived through all the other bull shite and half assed coaching of young men who didn't have the leadership needed to excel on the field, and in some cases, after college.

I really like zero intrigue.

No offense but if you think pulling for a team that doesn't compete for championships is more exciting than pulling for a team that does...well, that speaks for itself.

What else is there to play for in college football? nothing. It's the funnest thing going.

Competing for championships is something we do. So does LSU, Florida, A&M, UGA, UT, and a few others with parts being interchangeable given the year. But rigging the system so it's a fait accompli is another thing. There is no way Bama is doing it legit and if you believe they are, you're willfully naive. All schools take liberties here and there, but Bama has mastered the art of cheating. When Auburn was under suspicion for Cam, the NCAA crawls up our arse for a 13-month colonoscopy, same for Ole Miss, MSU, USC, OSU, et. al. When the smoke is billowing out of the fire in Tuscaloosa, nothing happens. Ever. And there's more circumstantial evidence coming out of Tuscaloosa on a yearly basis since Saban has been there than any other school. But nothing happens. Ever. A simple rubber stamp "internal investigation" and everything is hunky-dory in T-Town.

Call it "mad", "being a hater", whatever you want. But it is what it is. And as a result, the games have zero intrigue.

Link?

Saban coached teams have NEVER been in trouble with the NCAA sans the textbook scandal in 2007 which was a minor infraction. Maybe, just maybe, Saban is a once in a generation recruiter and coach. Also, an Auburn fans accusing another school of cheating is the ultimate pot/kettle statement.

I'll make you the same hypothetical deal I do every other Bama fan. Let's take one incident. Say the DJ Fluker incident. Let's have the same 13-month investigation into that as we get into Cam. Let's see where the chips fall. Deal?

Let's have another SEC school report the player's father was going around asking for a payout.

Here's an idea, let's have a booster pay a high school coach to convince a player to come here, according to a scumbag rival coach star witness, and get the harshest punishment short of death penalty a program can possibly receive that decimates us for the better part of a decade. Suck our dicks

Winning might be boring to you AU folks but its pretty damn exciting to us. This is what excellence is all about. I grew up with it in the Bryant era. My son is growing up in the Saban era and I couldn't be any happier about it. We're having an absolute blast.

As are you if you think kids are turning down thousands of dollars plus championships to play for a lesser program for free.

I said this in an earlier thread but let's face it..No one is beating Bama this year. Their games aren't even interesting to watch anymore. They have gamed the system so much now that Saban has to make shite up to get mad about. He's manufacturing situations to get upset at his team and coaches because it's the only way to keep them interested.

I enjoy watching other SEC games because there's a lot of drama, good stories, interesting matchups, coaching styles, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed watching UT / A&M. UGA/UT as examples. LSU / UF would have been interesting had they played) but I don't feel that way about the Bama games because they have zero intrigue...the outcome is predetermined. I watched the highlights afterwards, but I didn't see one play of Bama vs. Arkansas live because I was watching the Miami / Florida State game, which was a much more interesting game.

Hate to bring this up buddy but every LSU - Bama game in Baton Rouge has been close since Saban arrived at Bama....and yes, even the games where LSU sucked and Bama was great. I see this year as no exception. LSU has just as much talent as Bama and can win that game on any given Saturday. Let's stop sucking the ooompa looompa's dick so hard.
