AJ made national news saying he's pulling for Auburn but wouldn't you if you were dating Katherine Webb (she's an AU grad)?
I'd say 90% of the rest of us do NOT want them winning. And they are the same way so no big deal.

I've never been in the hate Auburn camp. I have too many AU buddies.

Yeah, I don't give a shite about the SEC streak. Actually, I think it is bad for the game as a whole.

As an AU fan I'd never pull for Bama, so I don't blame them.
Of course, we're the good guys and they're a collection of awful human beings working to destroy everything decent, so it's different.

My mind says yes I want Auburn to win and not only keep the SEC streak alive, but the State of Alabama Streak alive.....................but my heart says "hell No". I could never be for Auburn, so I guess whoever wins, part of me would be happy, but I'd like to go with my heart.
So many of them certainly didn't want us to beat Notre Dame, and they still talk about "if only colt McCoy hadn't got hurt". So, I don't feel guilty not being for our rival.

The hate between Alabama and Auburn appears to be more on the field than off the field.
It's the ugliest rivalry out there with a lot hatred on both sides. They are acting like they don't care in this thread but I am willing to bet the majority of Gumps in here do not want Auburn to win. I can't blame them because it is not good for your in state rival to win championships.

I understand that and It seems that this year a preponderance of my associates that swing in the orange and blue direction are belly-aching that BAMA fans are not supporting them...

I'm getting split reaction as well from my Bama friends. I have grown to dislike FSU lately and I really don't have a problem with Auburn keeping the SEC and "in state" streak alive. The way I see it, a top notch rivalry benefits BOTH teams and makes Alabama the epicenter of big time college football. If you're going to be the best, which is what Bama strives for, you can't let another good rival intimidate you and a good cross state rival helps keep your edge up.

Not pulling for Auburn, but they will win. And I'll be happy for my Auburn friends.

Well, the way I look at it is that I'm not insecure enough with Alabama to be all that concerned with what's going on over at Auburn.
Combine that with the fact that I have more than a few Auburn friends. I'll genuinely be happy for them if they win it all... not because I'm a bad Alabama fan, but (I think) rather because I'm a good friend.

Seems to be something that either side uses when it suits them. I remember plenty of:
"C'mon barners its good for the state, pull for the tahd this one time. I promise we'll git r done and at least you'll be in the same state as the champs."

See my post above. It's not quite that simple with all of us.

I don't. Florida State has plenty of Alabama connections for me to root for them. That being said I doubt I watch the game.

I don't know any Bama fans that care if Auburn fans cheer for Bama or not..

Frick Auburn. Hope they lose 150-0. A NC in this state makes it harder for us to recruit. That goes for the rest of the SEC. Frick all of ya'll, except for maybe Aggie. We secretly love Aggie.
