You have to be undefeated to win a title? Better give back those BCS trophies then

I didn't read that in the article. What does going undefeated have to do with it? LSU won the NC with a loss

The article doesn't say anything about Alabama going undefeated. Most of it is about Saban and Bear Bryant. Both changed jobs several times, both were highly paid, both won a lot games, and both are hated by many.

I changed it. Turns out they do actually have an undefeated season.

Shouldn't LSU fans appreciate one, even 2, loss titles??

False. With the plus one format or mini playoff it will become a lot more of a common occurrence.

He had just turned in his career masterpiece, his team throwing a 21-0 shutout at an LSU that was No. 1 in the country on merit, after a season spent taking on all comers – including Alabama on the first Saturday of November – and licking them all. By all appearances, they were the toughest cats in the room.

And the Tide made the Tigers looked like a scout team.

But it will be earned. I should have put the word "given" in there somewhere I guess.

Btw, I'm not mad at all. We got our asses handed to us Monday night. The truth is we split the 2 games this year and in both games the other coach got out-coached. We're brewing quite a rivalry here lately and that's what makes this shite so much fun.

I'm as upset as any other LSU fan, but the article does mention that LSU beat Alabama once this year.

I'd love to hear how Saban got out-coached. Les played not to lose in November. That's it. He took zero chances to win the game.

Would have to disagree. He found a weakness and exploited it to a successful outcome in November. That may not have been as drastic of an outcoaching job as Saban displayed this week, but it was one, nonetheless. You're free to disagree, however.

Miles found a weakness that night and Bama couldn't make the adjustments. Not to mention Nick's decisions to kick FGs rather than punt. On Monday, Nick made the proper adjustments and Les had nothing.

eta: It's ok to admit that every now and then someone gets the best of Lil' Nicky brah.
