Your only allowed to keep one statue. Who stays? Why?

If we’re basing it purely on statue aesthetics, it’s clearly Bear. Saban’s statue looks hideous.

Which statue would I keep? I'd keep Bryant's because it looks much better than Saban's.

Sure there would.

He'd just be in Miami trading AFC East titles with Belichik.

I was told that the situation was similar to John Snow, so doubtful...

From the other side, it is without question Saban. He is doing more with more restrictions. Bear would recruit his players and get yours because of no scholly limitations. The game is just different today and Saban is king of the hill. I have often wondered what Saban could do at a school like Kentucky (my hunch tells me he would have them contending for nattys as well).

I'm sure Bear is looking up and smiling at the success that Bama is having and will continue to have with Saban at the helm.

Bryant played at Alabama and coached there for parts of four decades. I would pick his statue.

Cut each of their statues in half, and flex seal them together. Roh Tahd!

Saban also is able to recruit at a national level more so than Bear was, just because of the times. They both have their advantages. However Saban wouldnt be able to recruit at bama, like he is, without the legacy of Bear

Hey little butthurt dude, as been said many times before, every coach had the same advantages. Your coach could recruit the same amount of players as Coach Bryant if he could have gotten off his lazy butt.

Unfair criticism. Nobody else had limitations either.

To be honest.... for the first time in our history, that's actually becoming a tough question. But for now, the Bear wins hands down on seniority easily and national title count second.

I won't look down on anyone that chooses Bear. He is the second greatest college football coach of all time. Saban is a different animal though. College football is much, much more competitive in today's time than it was in the 70's. The SEC alone is much tougher to win, plus the championship game now. The polls chose the champion back then even cheating Bryant out of one while Saban had a true 1 versus 2 game not to mention the difficulty of making through the playoffs. Saban has been to every playoff since its inception and will make it 4 straight this year barring poor quarterbacking. In short, Nick Saban might make the bear quit.
