at fumbling the ball?

Yeldon has had a far more costly fumble.

Yeldon is a more complete back, but Drake is faster and hits the hole quicker. They make a nice tandem. Still wish we had a big bruiser that was ready to be in the mix. I think Henry is a year away.

I HATED when Fowler got hurt. I loved his play. Workhorse that rarely got pub but always fell forward. I've never seen him get hit and go backwards. Seems he isn't the same back.

Both have ball security issues.

I know Drake fumbled last night but TJ has had a few as well. I was really impressed with Drake's ability last night. IYO which is better?

They serve different purposes, but they're both really good. Drake gets the best initial acceleration, IMO, and Yeldon (and Fowler) seem to truck defenders better.

Once they work on ball security a few (hundred) times, they should be something to watch.

Yeldon runs straight up

It just seems that way because he's 6'2" but most his height is from waist up, his legs are not that long for someone his height.

They complement each other but drake hits the hole 100 mph and yeldon looks to cut back with his quick feet.

Bama Ain't hurting at RB, LF to LSU

Needless to say I was very happy to see them take 3 rbs last class. I'm sure Lord Saban would make room for LF.

Saban told him, "we don't need you, but we want you"....and LF said that he really liked that comment.

Yeldon has more power and has quicker feet.

Drake is faster and is more explosive.

Really cant say who is better

Yeldon. Drake is faster, but that is all he has over Yeldon.

At this point in the season, I would play both Henry & Tenpenny to send a message to TJ & Drake about ball handling...

Shaddup.

I'll go with Drake, but there isn't much separation.

Yeldon runs straight up and never lowers his shoulder, it's part of why he fumbles so much. He also is less likelyto take on a defender and usually avoids contact unless he can't. But he is the better blocker.

Drake is a better receiver once he gets the ball, he accelerates so much faster and will not dance around as much and just hits the hole really hard. Yeldon was better last year, not sure what happened.

Tenpenny might be better than both but he hasn't played enough in meaningful minutes to really say that.

I would start Drake right now just because of Yeldon's fumbling problem alone. But Yeldon is very good and when he got benched last night he ran harder and better with a vengeance.

Why isn't Henry playing much though? He's played some already so has he lost his redshirt? I know he was hur but I hope his redshirt hasn't been wasted with 4 or 5 carries.

Drake hits the hole faster, but TJ seems to have a bit more power. This is the first time for me that I have no preference for which running back is in the game. They are 1a and 1b.

I think the VT game sealed his fate. Needed to work on pass blocking so he doesn't get our qb killed.

I don't think AJ wants Henry in the game after the Va Tech game.

Henry's got to get it right between the ear holes.

I agree. Seems like it takes Yeldon a little longer to get up to speed, but when he does he's fast and shifty. And when he gets hit he seems to have some power, too. I'd also give Yeldon a (slight) edge at this point.
