why are these considered fluke plays? it wasn't two fluke plays that got Alabama into the BCSCG in 2009. they were blocked kicks by a strong special teams unit. right?

who really cares about what a team gives up to scrubs? it took Alabama 14 games (grats on being in the big dance, btw) to get to the same amount of top-10 opponents played as LSU.. and our defense is good against good teams.

Jesus christ, you bama fans act like your defense is the best in the land. Alabama's defense was extremely overrated earlier in the season. Then came along LSU,A&M, and UGA

Were the scrubs in when Towson led 9-7 in the 2nd quarter? Were the scrubs in when your defense gave up 35 points to Ole Miss? Our defense in 2012 is definitely inferior to any defense we have had since 2008. They were young and relatively inexperienced and yet shutout four teams (should have been five) and finished with the statistical #1 defense in the nation.
And cry me a river about all those Top 10 teams you faced. All you had to do to win the West was beat Alabama and you blew it. Better luck next year.

It is, in total defense. It's .4 ppg behind the #1 scoring defense. And it's about to face the 75th scoring offense. It WILL be the #1 in total and scoring defense after the NC game.

actually, all we had to do was beat florida
we both know Alabama would be a 2-loss team if they played our schedule, it's cool though. those are the breaks.

Well enjoy watching teh NC game at home in January while we are in Miami. I may squeeze in a sailfish trip while I'm down there.
