On the old Bear Bryant TV show every week, there was a bag of chips and a cola on the table in front of him. He had to eat the chips and drink the coke at some point on the show, sort of like Kramer on the Merv Griffin set.

Honest answer: I don't watch Saban's press conferences anymore. I love him as our coach because he's so successful, and when I watch him berate reporters (justified or not) it turns me off.

Yep.
Dasani is a Coke product, but they must have decided that they want their flagship drink to be the one on display. Saban still drinks a Dasani during his PC's though.

Product placement is important. They need the money. Handing out new cars to every recruit who signs a LOI gets expensive.

Sban's an arse. A winning arse, but an arse nonetheless. After the 2003 national title, a line of about 200 fans waited on a meet and greet with him. They ended up waiting 2 hours. Someone from TAF aggravated him earlier that day and he 'no showed'. I'm thankful for the title he brought our way, but the guy is pretty easy to dislike
