Don't even go there. Do you know how many times Auburn fans have said they beat them selves, or poor senior leadership, all the excuses that they have accused us of giving?

Misunderstanding I think. Was not referring to fans in this instance but Finebaum stirring up the pot. What better way to get hits than claim bama beat themselves by saying the coaching staff was imploding. He pulls this crap all the time.

It's the spin machine in action.

bama didn't win it all so it has to be......"not enough team leadership", or "coaches infighting trickled down to the team", or "(insert excuse here)". It didn't have anything to do with being out-coached and outplayed.

Coach Saban won't touch Bobby W for some reason.

repost for clarifity -

Bagman. Every staff has one. Bobby is safe until he goes office role, but he'll likely be at Bama at least 2 more years in some way or another.

Not every fan feels this way. I'll readily admit Bama got out-played in a loss on the road to Ole Miss and they got out-coached in a loss to OSU in the playoffs (how do you not commit to the run up 21-6?).

That said, sometimes the explanation for staff changes is that they got better jobs, wanted raise and got it elsewhere, personal reasons, or were encouraged to look. Why is it hard to admit the encouraged to look possibility in the case of Thompson?

2015 production looks good.

So, when you include the players he left off of the 2014 list, Bama is losing 13 players after this year.

I think he probably was. I just do not think it was because these professionals were at each other's throats as the OP says Finebaum implies.

What better way to get the off season going than making vague comments about staff issues larger than anything since DuBose to keep viewers?

That wasn't part of finebaum's excuse today.

I just find it hard to believe that saban, after hiring somebody on three different occasions, just all of a sudden feels a need to get rid of him..........all of this comes out after he lands at your biggest rival. DB play is what has been bama's problem on D the last few years. What is he doing to rectify that?

Hey, you have a better count of our roster than I do.....2015 production will be good, honestly when has Coach Saban had a "bad" team at Alabama? It seems our bad years are when we have 2 losses, I can't think of quite a few teams represented on this very board that would love to have ended the season with only 2 losses.

He may be looking at someone who can handle Thompson's job AND help out in the secondary?

Thompson has been around the block multiple times in his career, IMO he was fortunate that Coach Saban hired him back after the baggage he left behind from his previous stint at UA.

Was just passing time at work. I have no doubt Bama will reload like always, and be right in the mix again next year.

Henry = Yeldon
Howard = Vogler

Losing your top 3 WRs and both safeties may hurt a bit though. Both MLBs and 2 Olinemen go, butit's just plug and play at those spots for Bama.

That one will sting for sure - safeties will be working their asses off from now til Sept.

Perhaps their relationship ran its course. Who knows?

Thompson made $400K at Bama last year. If he went to AU for anything less than a raise that should be a telling piece of info.

Finebaum threads ashould be nothing short of embarrassing for the OP.

Alabama threads started by LSU fans are just laughable at this point - no one takes you seriously.

There used to be some semblance of art in a good ribbing thread - these are just awful and pathetic.
