Hopefully Ty Simpson is smart enough to know that even if he doesn't start this season, he'd likely be the leader to start in 2025.

Transferring to a lesser program instead of likely starting for one season at Alabama would be a terrible business decision. jmho

Ty isn't going anywhere. Nobody thinks Milroe is the answer. Deboer is trying to handle this the best way. As one "anonymous" coach said after last season if Bama would have stuck with Simpson after the USF game they would have zero questions at QB in 2024.

yeah maybe Simpson could have led us to an SEC championship and playoff birth last season. Dang.

I wonder why this coach is "anonymous"?

Milroe helped Bama win their 30th SEC Championship and advanced to another playoff.

Let's don't pretend Milroe played a good game in the SECCG. Had a couple runs that sealed it towards the end, but it was not a great game. Same for the CFP. He can potentially be a lethal dual threat QB, but let's face it, he was kinda living off that 4th down pass vs auburn to win the Iron Bowl. If that falls incomplete, the race for starting QB would be thought of very differently today.

Probably doesn't want to be accused of being racist. Many Bama fans are so insecure about Milroe.

Is it racist to pretend to be black? It definitely is weird.

i agree simpson can play in the nfl, and i don't see it from jalen

That may be true, but Milroe is going to start this season. The offense we saw on Saturday was very vanilla and is not what we will be running on game days come the fall. It will be much more tailored toward Milroe and what he can do with both his legs and his arm. I love Simpson, and if he stays I think he starts next season, but this is Milroe"s team, Milroe's locker room, and he's going to be QB1 come opening day and throughout the season unless he totally implodes or gets injured.

i don't see how we hold onto ty if what you say is tru (not saying its not) but that means ty is definitely transferring and that would be a shame i think he can be a great qb someday

Ty has stated in the past he doesn't mind waiting his turn, just like Mac Jones.
