Everyone is kind of discrediting the fact that it's the largest party in the city and the place will be full of celebrities. It's not just an average night at this hotel. It's a special occasion. It's unfortunate that it played out that way for bama. It's definitely a different scenario than when WVU stayed there.

That was just during New Years.

Never thought I'd see so much overreaction about a hotel.

I will say that this year, it is a bigger party there the weekend of the game than in the last few years. Paul Oakenfold is often ranked as the #1 DJ in the world and they brought him in this weekend. It will be a bigger party than usual at Liv. Oakenfold is immensely popular here

Yep. We're talking Jay Z, and the Kardashians being present type of party. I bet Saban is WTFing.

I understand that. I'm simply stating this is the hotels signature party of the year with the#1 rated DJ and it's unfortunate that they are there during this party.

Anyone would be at least slightly worried. I'm sure Saban isn't pleased with the timing.

All I'm saying is that people have been under similar circumstances and been fine. Most people are aware of the distractions and take measures to avoid them as much as possible. Teams have moved before if things prove to be too noisy, etc. You said West Virginia wasn't presented with the same distractions, but if you look at their New Years events for the past few years, or if you've been in Miami during that time of year, you know that is splitting hairs.

I wouldn't call it their signature party. Just one of their bigger parties with a DJ that is very popular here and has been ranked as the #1 DJ in the past. He and Tiesto are the two most popular here and have been doing the top Miami parties for a decade (one is Dutch, the other British). Tiesto was at the opening of a new nightclub called Story last week that was bought by the same group that owns Liv. They booked Tiesto for one and Oakenfold for the other since they are very popular here.

The signature party was after the Heat won the NBA championship, though a bit unplanned. The Heat players all arrived about 3am at Liv and they were still going at 7:30am when I drove by on the way to work the next day.

BTW, I am sure Saban is a bit pissed. If anyone can keep his players under control it is probably him though.

Could you imagine UGA staying at the fountainbleu? There would have been at least 5 suspensions

There is a lot of hopium that Bama will lose. Trying to find every excuse to have us lose the game. Keep hoping.

I'd be very worried

Liv is the best nightclub and they love to provide Nevin Shapiro type hospitality to Football Players

Kenny Stabler would've appreciated the opportunity to unwind before the big game...
