Don't underestimate what LSU brought in on D as well.....we got some nasty recruits ready to go. I think with Scarborough not making it and us bringing over that Juco 4 star OL from Cali late evens the classes out from an overall talent stand point.

Greg was a product of a great team. Sorry you disagree and think that your signed McElroy jersey is worth more than it is.

ETA:

from wiki.

quote:

McElroy led the Crimson Tide to the 2010 BCS National Championship Game versus the undefeated Big 12 Conference champions Texas Longhorns at the Rose Bowl. He was able to complete 6 of 11 pass attempts for 58 yards while being sacked five times and losing 27 yards.[47] Ingram and freshman Trent Richardson carried Alabama to a 37–21[48] victory with 225 yards and four touchdowns rushing combined.[49] After the Tide's victory, McElroy revealed that he had suffered two cracked ribs during the 2009 SEC Championship game, explaining the Tide's shift from a passing to pure rushing game.[50]

This LSU freshman class may be the best in school history, and the word out of camp is this bunch is even better than expected.

About as useful as "everyone got bigger, stronger, and faster in the offseason strength and condition program..."

Bo will still be at Bama, just a semester late.

Not close to even on D

Bama was light years better

LSU was better in the skill positions

Bama signed at least 3 players I can think of on D better than any player LSU signed on D possibly 4 if I want to count both CBs

I see your point, but in all my days of following LSU football I have NEVER seen hype like this regarding a class...but if you just want to call it coach speak that's probably best, as it most likely will make you sleep better at night

Patrick we don't need Bo

LSU needed Fournette, Brandon Harris, and Malachi Dupre and all 3 will likely start by the end of the yr

Bama needed Robinson and signed him and guess what...he's stonewalled everyone since getting on campus at Bama and earned his LT position and he will start

LSU had to sign that type of class on O to be able to compete for the SEC West this season

I agree coco it reminds me of the 1st full yr after and the class when Bama signed Ingram, Julio and that famed class

Bama curtailed that into a few BCS NCs we will see what Les can do with what he got

Yes, according to Rivals rankings. Look for Garrett, Adams and possibly Paris to be just as good as those guys. I guarantee you we see as many players drafted from this freshman class D as Bama's.

We are gonna be starting a lot of kids from this last recruiting class, and the folks at TexAgs are pumping them up but thats par for the course. They always hype the youngsters.

Speedy is starting at WR.
Armani Watts is supposedly starting at S.
Juco Transfer Josh Reynolds is starting at WR.
Myles Garrett is supposed to be our best pass rusher this year.
and Z'Covyen Henderson is starting at NG.

The one surprise for me was Kyle Allen didn't do enough to win the QB job.

But with Chief at the helm I feel very strong about my prediction

Cam Robinson will be the starter at LT
Tony Brown will be a big contributor
Marlon Humphrey will be a contributor
Deshawn Hand will be a contributor
Shaun Dion Hamilton will be a contributor
Freshman punter
Hootie Jones will probably be a ST contributor
Rashaan Evans will be a contributor and a garbage time nightmare
Jarren Reed was starting at DE before his DUI
Josh Casher and Ross Peirschbacher seem ready to contribute this year

but probably above all of those, DJ Pettway will be a starter and will probably lead the team in sacks and/or TFL. he could be an All-SEC player at the end of the year. (although he is not a freshman, he was a part of the last signing class).

On Cam Robinson....so reports so far is that he is ready to go at LT? I would just feel a little uneasy having a true freshman LT, but i'm sure he isn't in that spot if the coaches aren't comfortable with it.
