2nd tier coaches. It's just great to have Dabo warming up for Bama when Saban retires. Bama will maintain its dominance - while the lsu's, aubies of the world scrap the bottom of the barrel. Carry onl.

If Dabo Swinney is 1a. Who would be the 1b choice?

Is this what people are talking about when they say bama is "insecure"?

Dan Mullen moved to Starkville because MSU is the closest SEC University to Tuscaloosa. It doesn't take a scientologist to figure this out. Bama asked him to take the job. They are big buds both him and Saban have met with Belicheck

Please don't beat your family when Dabo says no.

It's not their fault.

I feel bad for Dabo. The sheer crushing weight of being the preferred successor to Nick Saban, the greatest coach of our generation, is going to be tremendously hard to bear.
Much less the spoiled expectations of a fanbase that will demand he be Saban 2.0

You are a prime example of why the sports world hates Alabama fans. You give the decent ones a bad reputation.

I won't go that far but I've always felt that someone like Gary Patterson is a much better pure coach. Patterson can adjust and win with any style. He went from winning with a run first defensive oriented team in the late 2000s to having success in the Big 12 with a pass heavy offense and now he's winning with a balanced offensive attack that ranks 32nd in rushing and 39th in passing. I don't think you can say the same about Dabo. When their offense goes in a lull, they struggle mightily.

Something tells me this guy has nothing in his life but bama football. I bet he is the guy that wears a bama shirt 7 days a week and has bama flags on his car.

This. Les Miles could never get out from under Saban's shadow at LSU. Saban's replacement at Bama is going to have it 5x worse. Bama's fringe element makes LSU's fringe element look calm, composed, and level-headed.

Feel pretty certain the OP is trolling but most Bama fans don’t think he will be the next coach. At some point he may be but I wouldn’t want to follow Saban . Please don’t judge all of us by the actions of a few . Haha

I retract my statement about Dan Mullen... He is too tall. Bama will go after another short coach. That way they don't have to remove the steps behind the podiums for press conferences
