Ronnie Clark was an athlete coming out of HS, actually played QB. He started as a RB/FB, jumped over to safety/OLB, then back to TE/H back in the Jalston Fowler role. Ronnie has been hurt in consecutive seasons due to a ruptured Achilles tendon in each leg.

For a half it might be. Maybe we come out flat and clunky. However, if we don't, we are going to run for 300 yards. Patterson will throw for some yards for sure, but he'll throw some picks too.

I'd guess something like 45-20.

I hate to make any guesses on Ole Miss. I think we are much more talented than most want to give us credit for but you cannot ever predict the level of motivation of a team going through what we are. Even in years where we have been outclassed talent wise, this program has made its bones by being a team that doesn't fear or back down from Alabama on either side of the ball lately. Like I said, it won't surprise me if you guys end up with a fight on your hands. Won't surprise me if there's no fight at all either.

It'll be more like 42-24 Bama. Ole Miss has a knack for playing the Tide close; no way it will be a Vanderbilt-type blowout.

Uh, Arkansas plays Ole Miss on Oct. 28th. Just sayin'.

Ole Miss is a very talented team on the offensive side of the ball. That being said, I could not believe how bad they looked against Cal, especially in that second half. Maybe it was because AJ Brown went down or that lineman got hurt, but they didn't make any adjustments when their offense was sputtering. They seem poorly coached. They might come out with some fire in this game, its a big SEC match-up, nothing to lose, etc. However, at the end of the day they will lose by 2-3 scores, 41-20 Bama. But idk if Bama will cover at -28.5 --- that's a huge spread against a team like Ole Miss who actually has some good ball players and is coming off of a bye week.

Yeah, he's never beaten anyone 59-0.

Dude, we played the 5th string in this game and took a knee to keep it at 59. We could of won by 80 points if he had wanted to.

AJ Brown and 2 o-linemen went down, including the center. Our starting RG moved over to C for the rest of the game and probably 75% of his snaps were in the dirt. He also wouldn't snap the ball when he was supposed so we had 5-6 false start penalties and a delay of game or two. Ole Miss' offense relies on rhythm and there was just no way to establish any.

Starting center may be back and if not, hopefully the snapping issues will be resolved in the week off.

That said, Alabama can name a number for rushing yards and they will get there. They score as much as they want. Bama 48 Ole Miss 20

which is EXACTLY what the Rebel fan said...it was the part where he said it will be a better game than many of you believe, that rubbed the typical Crimson Tide fan the wrong way, wasn't it?

Except I think most of us are expecting a game like I described. I don't think anyone is expecting us to win 63-0. We all, more so than anybody else probably, respect the skill position talent Ole Miss has at QB and WR.

Yea, nobody was rubbed the wrong way. At all.

and Saban doesn't try to embarrass anybody.

*************************************************

Saban and Miles are old school and Coach Saban goes 3 deep but his 3rd team can beat your 1st team

Has nothing to do with the man Nick Saban

I have no doubt you'll play hard. The problem is you're getting run on by bad to mediocre teams. That's not a path to success against Alabama.

The only time, maybe, was the iron bowl in 2008 or 2009 when mcelroy thtew a bomb on a go route for 6 with a minute left but that may been just greg seeing one one one coverage on the outside so maybe , maybe not.

That was 2008 McElroy to Maze with about 3:00 (not 1:00) left and Saban was visibly pissed at him for doing it.

That play may have been the final nail in Tubb's coffin.

..and I'll always think highly of McElroy for doing it! Tuberville is/was an arrogant POS and would have done the same thing if he could have, so frick HIM!...and yes, 36-0 put his worthless arse in the wind.

You are the most pathetic poster here alabamaoutlaw. Jesus dude, get over your obsession with Ole Miss and Saban doesn't try to embarrass anybody.

I would agree with most of that. But I think it will be hard not to embarrass Ole Miss here. Even if you put almost all freshmen in, how are you going to tell them not to tackle or try to score?

This game could break OM for the season. And I don't say that with any pleasure. After watching the Cal game, near the end it looked to me like the qb qas beyond frustrated with the team and coaches. I cannot imagine the tensions that will develop during this game.

It was 2008. The play was a 3rd & 6 and it was designed to hit the crossing route for a 1st down pause at 14 second mark to see safety drop down on the crossing route leaving Maze in one on one coverage and he was the open WR.

He wasn't made about it bc it was the right read. I can't find it, but I'm almost positive he was asked about it in post game press conference and said something to the effect of "well the play was designed to go across the middle to pick up the first down, but they were in a cover 2 and Greg made the right read. You don't want it thrown there then don't play a cover 2 in that situation".
