Well that was a pretty darn good opener. Got some rust to grind off but hopefully the experience helps us down the road. We played so many new faces, especially given the amount of returning production we had.

I mean you can make that argument but the scoreboard matters most, especially in modern college football where big plays are utilized far more than the ole 3 yards and a cloud of dust way of playing the game. That defense won't take a huge leap until we get more guys in. That's just the way it is. Banks has gotten a lot out of a group that has a ton of weak spots.

I think it's fair to say that the execution we saw last night gets us beat by quite a few teams, but we also can clean up a lot in 8 days
