Dude, it was specific to honoring WWII vets and it was a WWII-era plane.

MSU is within 20 miles of an air force base. Every flyover we have is from there. This was a special occasion, and the president of the University at the time (a retired 5 start AF general) was flying that sucker.

Do you hate WWII-era planes. Do you hate veterans?

You had a crop duster fly over. Deal with it.

Had a Navy flyover for A&M game 2012. Prowler and a Hawkeye. I remember the 80's when there were less restrictions. I was at a game in Starkville, probably 1984-85, and we had 3 F-4 phantoms from the ANG in Meridian flyover in afterburner. The middle plane went vertical right over the stadium and no one could hear anything else for about 30 seconds or so, it scared the hell out of people, it was awesome.

No it wasn't.

When the first Stearman lifted off the ground, WWI had been over for 15 years.

The only thing missing from that video is the 300 lb. cheerleader and the 400 lb. dude with the cowbell.

The 2005 LSU/Bama pre game flyover was the scariest one I've ever experienced. An Airbus refueling tanker flanked by two fighter jets all doing about 400 mph buzzed the top of the construction cranes at BDS.

I was in the second to last row of the upper deck. That thing looked eye level. Most incredible thing I've ever seen.
