How are Bama fans feeling about this "travel twice" thing that is happening now. Seems to have driven prices way down for tickets. N.O. is always a crap shoot for New Years anyway, add this and hotels are insane

The idea is to go to the second game. If you go to the first and lose then you didn't want to be there. If they win you want to be at the second one. I'm booking for Dallas with cancellation options.

We have a large contingency of fans that travel and we are not poor. We can drive to NOLA...easy.

Prices in the secondary market for Sugar Bowl tickets are twice that of the Rose Bowl.

I have confidence in our d line to stop or slow anyone's running game to the point where they can't win. We did it to auburn, especially in the 2nd half. The long ball had been our achilles heel this year, but why is everyone having to resort to chucking up prayers? Because they can't run it or get the normal high percentage stuff. Just because they have been connecting doesn't mean is a good offensive strategy to rely on. I'm not concerned with ohio state. Saban is familiar with meyer. In pretty sure the secondary will be doing scramble drills and working on long passes for the next 3 weeks.

small stadium will do that, but you'll be able to buy them right around the stadium before the game.

I think both playoff games will be great, and that Bama and Oregon will find ways to win tough games. That would be an epic NC game, and would go right down to the wire I think. RTR!

Oregon will get hammered by both Bama lines.

I'm not seeing that. Oregon runs the up tempo speed offense and their defense is used to that pace as well. Saban's teams tend to have trouble against competent speed teams like Oregon and Oklahoma...I wouldn't call Ole Miss or Auburn a speed team like Oregon. Malzahn only goes tempo in certain situations as does Freeze. Oregon goes all out on the speed and no huddle ...they'll create substitution problems particularly for Bama's defense plus Mariota is highly mobile. If Bama plays Oregon, Bama better hope they can keep Oregon to 70 plays or less..if the play count goes into the 80's Oregon would have the advantage.

But first they have to get past FSU and Jameis"I'll pull it out my arse at the end" Winston, that's predicated however that he (Winston) does not commit some felony in the interim that Jimbo and the Leon County Sheriff's Dept. have to clean up/cover up.

He brought in more DL's to combat the HUNH and it's not totally foreign to us. A lot teams in the SEC run something similar even though not quite as well. This is not the old Bama team with giant, but slow run stoppers. These guys can move and they sub out 5-6 guys to keep them fresh.
We also have great speed in our smaller CB's and I see Oregon's #1 WR is only 5'10". And our safeties are world class. The way to score points on us it to have big dominant and super fast WR's like AU and OM has. Oregon doesn't have them. I think Sylve and Jones will shut down any WR Oregon can put on the field.

I see what your saying but, do you think our D had anything to do with those teams not going up tempo?

when our offense has a 6 minute 14 play TD drive to start the game, and they come out with a tempo offense that puts them in 3rd and long 20 seconds into the drive they might rethink that strategy.

Oregon is a fantastic matchup for Bama. We are a matchup nightmare for their defense they don't have anyone they can put 1-1 on Cooper and they don't have the size to stop the run with less than 8 in the box.

Their offense is predicated on getting to the edge which is a strength of the Bama D and our biggest weakness is being vulnerable to the deep ball, but the teams that have exploited that have had a mobile QB and big WRs. Oregon doesn't have the size at WR so while their tempo will absolutely be a problem early in drives they are going to have to convert third and longs to put us in that situation.

aubrun ran 90 plays against us this year and we got stronger on the DL as the game went on. Auburns oline got tired before we did. No one has been able to tire us out this season

Strangely enough, I think the biggest disadvantage for Bama in this game is that Saban and company will only have one game film of OSU's quarterback to break down.
This is my biggest concern. My assumption is that he plays for OSU so he must be at least decent. We have one game of film on him, and they have 13 games of film on our defense.

also, we played WV who is 3rd in plays per game int he country with 86.4. Oregon is 35th with 77.1. Thats only 4.3 plays per game more than we average

He was better than I thought he would be honestly. 12/17 doesn't really tell the whole story, as he put the ball into good spots, nothing behind guys where they had to make tough catches (although one was high and our WR snagged it down). Accuracy was an issue for him last year and in the spring from what I remember.

Kid has a cannon. Not sure who has the strongest arm in the SEC but I would be surprised if it was stronger than his. He's one of those Russell type arms

The new OSU qb is more of a pocket passer. Falls into the Bama wheelhouse.

Bama will force OSU to throw and I see a few ints.

Bama 31
OSU 17

Now, Oregon has a real shot to beat Bama. In fact, I think they matchup great against them.

I think Doran Grant vs. Cooper is a huge matchup. I think OSU plays man most of the day, as they did against Lippett for Michigan State. He's obviously not Cooper, but Grant had a great day against him

Good luck with that.

FSU will beat UO, the PAC is so overrated this year.

Arizona 26 UTSA 23, Arizona 35 Nevada 28

UCLA 42 Memphis 35, UCLA 28 Virginia 20

USC losses to Boston College 37-31

I love how everyone thinks Oregon is so good every year, and they never win shyt.

Oregon doesn't have the offensive line Auburn has, they don't have two NFL caliber receivers that Auburn has.

The PAC 12 plays no defense, kind of like Auburn.

FSU is a physical team and physical teams have been Oregon's kryptonite, Stanford, LSU, Auburn's defensive line in 2010 ( 2011 ), and Ohio State kicked their butt's a couple of years ago.

Bama is going to destroy tOSU. They just haven't played against the kind of speed and athleticism they are about to see.

Bama will be OK until Mariota exploits their secondary.
