The job won't be "given" to anybody.

If Roc, Kerryon, ect were so much better why didn't Gus play them *consistently?

Our RB position was poorly managed this year and I don't blame Barber for leaving

You're right but Kerryon > Roc

Roc, isn't better and kerryon was used a lot especially for a freshman.

I won't disagree, but there's a lot of time between now and 2017. If Roc Thomas could stay healthy and stop fumbling, he would very much be in the game plan. As it stands, though, neither are every down backs right now. They need to get bigger.

Either way, having Jovon Robinson, Roc Thomas and Kerryon Johnson in 2016 should help the offense. And the threat of run (JFIII) should help it even more.

Undrafted free agent?

Guy plays hard, but not a difference maker.

He might get drafted, late.

He sees the writing on the wall with Gus.

Good. Apparently he was a good teammate, but Jovon should've gotten more carries last year.

Because Gus is loyal to guys who stay healthy and practice hard. You knew the answer to this already...

This is like Darron Thomas declaring when Mariota was going to take his spot.

I would gladly Auburn play Florida. Free wins are hard to come by

Kind of weird, but Barber is a bruiser, he will find a spot on a team.

Am I the only one that thinks that Jovon Robinson will be a stud NFL RB? I can see him going to a good organization and being an all-pro NFL RB.

Kind of weird,

I don't think it is when you think about it. Jovon was in the dog house early in the season so Barber was the work horse. But eventually Jovon started seeing playing time and overtook Barber.

Now Jovon is coming back so Barber is thinking his stock will be higher fresh out of a 1,000 yard season than it will be when he's most likely sitting behind Jovon all year

I see a lot of Jonathan Stewart in Jovon Robinson, except he's taller and seems to be a better "slashing" running back.

His best choice, IMO.

Probably so, considering the RB class next year as well...Fournette, Chubb, McCaffrey, Cook, Conner, Freeman, and Clements could all be coming out...that in addition to the reduced carries he'd probably be getting...

I feel like there are some NFL teams that are licking their chops at Robinson. I loved his film coming out high school, and I thought that he was going to special.

No. The guy runs as hard as any RB we've had in a long time. He runs through a lot of tackles and has great vision, but one of the most impressive things is his patience. He'll wait and wait for a hole to open instead of trying to force it in.

He reminds me of a more physical Arian Foster. Great feet.

Wish him the best and hope he makes it!

Running backs have such a limited shelf life.
