I was looking at this quote and it made me think...how did he do in those big venues. Here's what I found.
1). Not sure when he went to Ohio State...but Purdue lost at home to tOSU his Freshman season (2013)...a game in which he didn't play. He has never played in a game at Ohio State, or been on a team that that visited OSU.
2). At Nebraska in 2014, he was 18-46 with 1 TD and 2 Ints.
3). At Michigan state in 2013 and 2015, he never took a snap.
Here are the places (and their capacity) where he has actually taken a snap from center as a visiting QB.
Illinois (60,670)
Minnesota (50,805)
Nebraska (87,000)
Indiana (52,929)
Marshall (38,227)
Iowa (70,585)

He is from the state of Ohio, so it is very possible that he attended an Ohio State game at some point.
