Reed, a former Thibodaux High football standout, was a passenger in the car stopped for a traffic violation. Contacted for an interview Sunday, Reed said he was riding in the car of a former teammate who was stopped and ticketed for having a bad headlight.

A routine computer check alerted police that Reed had two warrants for failing to appear in court in Terrebonne Parish, authorities said.

Reed said he knew about the tickets and paid the fines on Tuesday but added that he was arrested for not showing up for his court date in April 2011. He said it was due to being away at Auburn and not being “able to come back and pay it.”

“It was from an old parking ticket I had in high school,” Reed said. “I thought I had taken care of it, but obviously it didn’t.”

“I always wanted to be looked at as a positive kid,” Reed said. “I’m sorry for my actions, and it will never happen again. I’m not a bad kid. That’s just that. There’s nothing else I can say.”

Holy shite he is a thug! Lock his arse up and throw away the key! This needs to be a sticky....

Obviously he has cleaned up his thuggish La behavior since coming to such a family oriented place like Auburn. I'm sure he has no more La HS issues still lingering.

That is what I've gotten from all this.

Failure to show up for traffic court appearances = low life scum.

Don't the cops have more things to worry about in crime invested Louisiana than unpaid traffic tickets?

I'm more curious as to why the cop thought it necessary to run the license of a passenger.

even though he turned out to be a bust it sends a message that those that leave the state pay for their mistakes.

Yes, a kid who has played one single year is a bust.

Jilted LSU fan strikes again.

No it's not. I've been the passenger before in a routine stop and have had my license checked before.
