there`s a good chance Gus won`t survive a bad season and if it happens it will be because he decided to go with pro-style quarterbacks in White and Johnson that doesn`t fit in his offense sure it worked at Tulsa and Ark. State but this is the SEC, if the season doesn`t implode i hope he gets another chance to wait for Barrett and Gatewood (?) to right the offensive ship, true read option QB`s. Also i think White would be a really good QB at a lot of power 5 schools he just doesn`t fit what AU does best.

Not if he gets blown out by UGA or Bama. Definitely not both.

On the flip side, if he wins 6 games but manages to upset Bama, he'll be safe. It's the Auburn way.

Is everyone just going to act like Auburn hasn't regressed since 2013? Inconsistent QB, poor defense, WR not cutting it. I want better than the last 2 seasons and I don't see a lot of things changing as it stands.

Tom Herman
Bill Clark

Bobby Petrino should've been hired in 2013 but that's none of my business.

I'm about to start sounding like Allen Iverson pretty soon.

I agree that Gus needs to have a good year, but come on... It's a spring game. You can derive zero insight from an A-Day game.

With our schedule, if he goes 8-4, 4-4 in the SEC, he will have righted the ship, IMO, at least enough to keep him in place another year. The defense is going to be solid next year and I expect JF3 and Robinson to be a pretty potent running attack.

Sure but the Spring game shouldn't have been the breaking point for you.

Why wouldn't any of those coaches consider it?

Very few reasonable coaches wish to be told what to do by Fain Drunk Cheating Dye.

They realize that auNecks are incestuous and their athletic department is a hive of intrigue and influence.

Being overruled by YellaWoody is not a nice situation. It's Alabama 20 years ago.

Saban no like intrigue and influence, other than his own.

You talk about old Bama as if you still live in the past.

auNecks are currently in a bad situation as far as how they(staff, boosters, board members, etc...) can interfere with a head coach.

Why would he leave MSU for AU.

He is already UMs little brother. Why would he come be Bamas little brother AND have to face the rest of the SEC.

Besides he's 60 and has already had a heart attack.

I do wonder what the SEC Coach situation will be like this season. We of course had lots of new coach talk this past season. Jim Mcilwain's first year, Spurrier and Richt leaving, Les Miles almost getting the boot. Lots of chatter about that.

I'm not the most educated on all the Football coaches out there, so I can't add anything too constructive here when it comes to who Auburn should go after if Gus gets the boot.

Gus is gone for sure and the talk will start immediately after Clemson beats the shite out of Auburn in the opener. It will be a long terrible year to be an Auburn fan.
