Disagree with him running in HS. I saw him play from his soph season on and he was not really a threat to run the ball at all. He showed the ability to get out of the pocket but he isn't going to turn it up the field and get yardage like what Auburn is used to with their QBs.
He's clearly slower than Marshall or Cam, but I think he's faster than Campbell and quicker than Chris Todd and Barrett Trotter. He can still escape to some degree.
I'm very excited to have him under center this year. From everything I've seen on him he appears to be a great kid.

WHY THE frick IS EVERYONE IN THIS THREAD BEING SO PLEASANT?

I would agree with all that. With the offense Auburn runs, he may be able to get enough yards running to keep the defense honest. If so, his ability to pass more effectively increases. I hope he does well for the Aubs.

Hate the team... not the kid. JJ seems like a pretty decent guy. Who doesn't want to see these kids do well?

Joey always has sand in his pussy.

Everyone except Joey. Although he's always upset it seems.

So you get upset at me for creating a narrative, generalizing auburn posters, and cherry picking post then turn around and create a narrative, generalize Bama posters, and cherry pick posts.

quote:He will be used as more of a power runner between the tackles. Similar to Tebow or even Cam. Though he isn't nearly as explosive as Cam.

I know, I was thinking page 3 and no...
...where are the State dogs at?

Couldn't agree more. Our entire offense/season lives and dies by how our OL performs next year.

Just hope and pray he doesn't become another casualty of that dreaded Muschamp curse.
The curse is real!

I'm guilty of hyping the shite out of him. Wish he'd have started the last two years for AU. #TeamJJ

Great arm, accurate, and very tall. Not as good as dangerous as a runner as Marshall, but still there's the threat.

I know he is on my team, but there is something badass about seeing a huge / tall QB taking snaps behind an OL:

Like I said he's not as deadly as Marshall running, but he ran for over 700 yards his senior year and averaged almost 7 ypc. He smoked Auburn HS both in the air and on the ground that year, and that was a talented team.
