They scored 14 on us in the bowl game. And they should be worse this year than last. Auburn wins easily.

Louisville Sux and lost a ton of talent. AU will destroy them. Plus TriggaTrey don't wanna lose to his boys at UGA castoff reject school #2.

But didn't auburn score 7 on you?

Time to re-evaluate.

So that extrapolates to them scoring about 40 on us.

I'd never underestimate Petrino. He focuses on the offense for sure, but he is also very adept at picking up opposing offenses' tendencies as a game progresses. If Gus gets out of rhythm--which he appears to on occasion-- Petrino will cause fits.

My gut tells my Auburn. But BP is a fiat assed scary sumbitch. Only an idiot would fail to see that

Petrino is always especially dangerous on week 1. His practices are insanely efficient so his teams are generally more prepared to start the season, and he spends all summer scripting that first half. Lord knows it's bitten the cats more than a few times.

That would go along with how I expect the game to. Close at half, at the end of the 3rd, through the 4th auburn runs away with it.

Looks like auburn plays both Louisville and UK this year.

With everyone Louisville lost, looks like a mismatch on paper.

Petrino is the only concern with all summer to focus on us. Plus he is probably still highly pissed AU told him they wanted to interview him then blew him off with a quick phone call.

Best guess is Louisville scores early, leads early but gets dominated in the 2nd half and AU puts them away by the end of the 3rd q.

I always go to the AU games in Atlanta since I live there.

I think we win fairly comfortably, but BP is a great coach so he could keep it interesting for a while. I just don't think they have the DL to stay with our OL for 4 quarters.

Have an up vote for a thread that is rarely seen on this board of no flaming or trolling and a great discussion.

It is rare that I cheer for Auburn. Oh sometimes against Bama. Against Petrino I'll be hollering War Damn Eagle with the best of them though.

BP did really well at Arkansas, but his scorched earth recruiting style left us practically having to rebuild the program from scratch.

Auburn really dodged a bullet by not hiring him back in the day.

He really is a complete piece of crap. How in the world Louisville hires him again or he's not back as a OC is amazing.I think the only other guy that can jump in a pile of crap and come out smelling like a rose is Kiffin.

We had some good years with him... but what stings the most is that everyone warned us going into the hire what we were getting. And we ignored them.

I'm not going to lie I liked him and wanted him as a head coach, but the whole jet gate was slimy and our admin was partially to blame BP could've done it right instead of in the shadows. Then the way he left the Falcons was low class,at least Saban stuck it out with the Dolphins until the season was over.

Petrino
ACC
Our arch rival

I would be so upset with Auburn if they lost to the dirty birds. Fortunately, ain't gonna happen.

Are you folks excited about the kickoff game? YES

How do you match up with the Petrino led team?
Feel good, but not great since it is Petrino despite Louisville losing several starters

Do you plan on attending?
YES. I love the fact that I don't have to travel. Georgia Dome is a 5-10 Uber ride for me.

Is there a big contingent of fans in the Atlanta area from Auburn?
Atlanta has a HUGE AU contingent.

I am considering going to this game for the fun of it!
Do you live here in Atlanta? If not, you should plan on visiting the College Football Hall of Fame and trying some of the local fare the city has to offer while you're here.
