Eliminate permanent cross division opponents and you'd play them more often

Your ignorance of SEC history is showing.

I thought y'all had UGA as a must play rivalry.
and now you want two?
the bottom line is that expansion changed the SEC and imo it changed the SEC too much. yes, i'd like to see auburn vs florida. the need for more and more and more money is ruining college football. no offense but i'm not paying top dollar to attend anymore. too many cupcakes and only get to play UT, UGA every damn decade sucks. the SEC champ is not the champ is they don't play anybody from the other division.

Just send Auburn to the East. Problem solved.

I <3 you Patton, but Auburn and Florida played every season from 1927 to 1940 and again from 1945 to 2002.
It was most definitely a rivalry.

Let us have 3 rivals, then play 5 other teams every two years... Our would be Alabama, UGA and Florida...
Or move to 10 conference games.

I agree totally -- it was a great rivalry. I remember my first AU-UF game:Reaves/Alvarez vs Sullivan/Beasley.
Was that the one where Reaves threw 7 ints?

Don't be bitter just because the SEC eliminated the classic annual Bama/Vandy tilt, brah.

I miss the UF game also. Some of the best SEC games you could ever ask for were played between the two.

Maybe if y'all weren't some cult arse bitches and not Alabama's lil' bro y'all could play them more often.

Of course, because while LSU has no rivals, Auburn is rivals with erybody.

Can't do that. We have played UGA 118 times. It's the oldest rivalry in the deep south. There is no way we can give up that game.

We tried. Bama cried.

shite the Auburn - FSU games in the 80's and early 90's(maybe) were great games as well.

So it's not even the oldest rivalry.
I miss the days of only 6 conference games. Schedules used to actually change every year. Now it's practically the same damn teams year after year.

Get rid of the insanely idiotic permanent cross division games and then you'll get to play them
Posted on 8/24/15 at 5:11 pm to NorthGwinnettTiger
Alabama and Auburn are inseparable and belong in the same division.
The Iron Bowl has decided the SEC West champion numerous times. How many times can that be said for any other season-ending rivalry game in the SEC?

It's the oldest rivalry in the most football crazed area of the nation and is a Southern institution.
Just because LSU doesn't have rivals doesn't mean you can take them away from schools that have bonafide rivalries.
