All stats are P5 competition only (including comparative stats for opponents)

Using Yards Per Play, Points Per Play, Opponent averages, etc

Auburn Offense YPP : 4.79
Auburn Opponent YPP Given Up Avg (Non-AU P5) : 4.83
Auburn averages 0.03 YPP less than Opponent Average

Arkansas Offense YPP : 5.60
Arkansas Opponent YPP Given Up Avg (Non-ARK P5) : 5.20
Arkansas averages 0.40 YPP more than Opponent Average

Auburn Defense Given Up YPP : 5.33

Auburn averages giving up 0.84 YPP less than Opponent Average

Arkansas Defense Given Up YPP : 7.71

Arkansas averages giving up 0.91 YPP more than Opponent Average

Auburn averages 0.0574 Pts per Offensive Yard.

Arkansas averages 0.0718 Pts per Offensive Yard.
Arkansas averages giving up 0.0778 Pts per Offensive Yard Given up.

So, if you run the numbers and then take the average of using per the Auburn breakout and per the Arkansas breakout you get the following

Auburn YPP : 6.69
Arkansas YPP : 5.66

Auburn Total Yards : 517

stats are utterly meaningless when one team has played a NFL team and one hasn't.

Except these stats are in the context of comparing Arkansas' performance vs said NFL team with everyone else's performance vs said NFL team.

They should ban stats against bama it's not fair to other teams fanbases. it gives them a false sense of hope. Look at Tenneseee. really thought they had a chance. Look at Ole miss, oh look what happened last week you can't stop our offense. Look at auburn this week. it really needs to be stopped it's just not fair

But they are 38th in YPA at 4.81, and drop significantly when you only look at games vs Power 5

They are currently 11th in the SEC in Rush YPA in the SEC vs P5 teams (3.53 YPA).

Reiligh Williams leads the SEC in total yards and he HAS played Alabama. What do you think his YPG would be if he hadn't?

he had 155 against TCU. Had 180 against ole miss. Had 110 against Aggies.

Again, these stats take Arkansas's stats vs Alabama and compare them to USC, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Tennessee, etc stats against Alabama and see if Arkansas fared better or worse. It doesn't matter if it is Alabama or Kentucky, the point is how Arkansas fared compared to every other P5 team. This completely takes out how good the opponent is, it looks to see how Team A performed against Team Z compared to all their other opponents.

We're playing Arky,

It's kind of like playing the lowest of P5 gene pool. Auburn's YPA will rise way high.
