Funny you say that. I went to the Auburn game this year. The AU guy behind me was hilarious the way he was cheering for the band! I still don't know if he was serious or not. But I got a tremendous kick out of it.
I had the same reaction a few years ago when I was at the Iron Bowl and we got into the stadium early enough to see the band's pregame video of glorious moments.

Y'all are late...

The overall cost to construct the facility came in at $8.7 million, with up to $10 million approved by state government for the project, LSU Director of Facility Development Emmett David said. He added that a competitive bid process led to the project coming in under budget, and that unused dollars were returned to the state's general fund.

I'm not sure where that $6 million came from, because the $11 million number is the only one I've heard

Looky-look Auburn competing against big brother again.
If the UA MDB got its name in 1927, inflation rate would put that million dollars somewhere around $13,195,057.47 give or take a few dollars.
So Auburn can keeps its 2013 - $11 Million we still got you beat.

Band facility smack
I like it.
Hey TN Vols,
If you don't have a new band facility, what's another $11-15 mil added to that welfare fund y'all got tallied?

I think the article does the band a favor... it won't be long until someone says "We can't allow Auburn's band to have a better facility than our band".
I expect to receive an email within the next few days talking about a fund raiser dinner and plans for a $50 million facility.

Someone give me a legitimate ranking of SEC bands. Nationally, who has the best reputation and perception for being the best in the SEC?

What I am sure of is that our band hall is already built and in use.
