Auburn beat Oregon by only 3 points...not really an "azz kicking".
How did the other SEC teams do against Auburn that season?
Also, Oregon had 11 points going into the 4th quarter, not 8.

They shut down ( kicked azz ) your supposed high powered offense.

Auburn gave up over 25 ppg and your Speddy Gonzalez fellows only scored 19 , hell Kentucky lost to Auburn 37-34

We're having a great rebuilding year, but we won't win the West. Carry on...

Auburn won the NC then sunk and disappeared into the water. They're currently bobbing for air but we all know they're gonna sink again real soon. Meanwhile, since our game, Oregon has maintained the high level of play and is consistently a top 5 team every season. Auburn will get clown stomped by Bama if someone else doesn't do it first.

I'm sorry is the goal of college football to be top 5 or to be National Champions?

Yeah that's right. The score is 2-0 Auburn. Have fun choking down the stretch again this year.

Oh and BTW. It's a trick question because we have more top 5 finishes than y'all too. We can pick almost any category and Auburn is better. Wins (717 to 603), Conf Titles (11 to 10), Heismans (3 to 1), All-Americans (66 to 5), Win Pct. (.628 to .558)

I think the title should be changed to "Oregon Legends in their own mind" because you can't compare to any of the Big 6 in any category.

Actually, the only people I've seen pumping Auburn up are other fans. Most Auburn fans I've seen seem to be pretty laid back about our recent surge.

Auburn, suddenly legends in their own minds

Either you are an obvious alter trolling or you really are a clueless Duck fan. When the Ducks win their first MNC or build a stadium seating close to 90K then come to an SEC site and question the term suddenly. Tigers got their first MNC in the 1950's so suddenly seems a bit out of place. When was that first Duck MNC?

Ducks always envy the swans.

Has anyone ever had a "We want ____" chant done for their team as often as Bama has these past few years?

Don't forget about the GREAT LSU offense scoring 17, just 2 points less.

I know this is a troll thread but I'll answer honestly. For mysel, I'm just happy as hell AU is relevant again. By no means are they title contenders yet. But at this rate they "might" be next year. They could do good things this year but I see several teams ranked a I've them that would beat us. Difference is I think AU would make "most" of them respectable.

Hahaha...this was hilarious.

VERY few Auburn fans actually think we are suddenly contenders for the SEC. Oh, maybe if Bama wasn't standing in the way but they are so we aren't. We matched up very well against A&M. I felt like if we won the turnover battle, we'd win. We are going to have to REALLY improve in the passing game to win the rest of our SEC games until the iron bowl. Bottom line is that Bama has really improved since the start of the season and they really are starting to look like a complete team, a national championship team. Auburn isn't as good nor do we match up well. Next year, however...

Btw, frick Oregon. Still butthurt I see.
