3-0 sweep, no fans there to heckle the coach.

Are you trying to make a joke about Arkansas baseball attendance?

Little role play- I like it

that said lets not get caught up in the role play. Good for her for standing up for herself. Great testament to women playing sports. (everyone should play organized sports in their formative years)

I honestly don't understand how a grown man can seriously coach a women's softball team.

Do you think its emasculating or something to coach a women's team? or is it just softball?

I think it would be an interesting story of how you got into it

Friend is coaching daughter and trying to learn all he can. No judgement from doing. Probably an interesting story of how you get in it

UF fans don't make jokes about baseball attendance. All of our fans are waiting for a roof and personal AC units installed in the seats before attending a UF baseball game.

Softball shite talk probably.

Most probably started just like I did by having daughters that love the game. I was fortunate enough to play baseball through college and a couple of years of semi-pro. I loved baseball. Still do. When my oldest daughter came along and wanted to try softball I wasn't too excited about it bc I grew up with the mindset its a girl's game and I would never compare it to baseball in any way. I was dead wrong. After she got to the 10U level I started realizing fastpitch softball is baseball with ponytails. Only played on a smaller field and a lot quicker game. I also learned real quick from coaching them that some strategies are the same in both games and some aren't. I also quickly came to the realization that girls are a helluva lot more competitive than most us guys give them credit for. Coaching girls can be a challenge bc some things do have to be handled differently than when I've coached baseball teams. But I also learned real quick that most softball players have zero quit in them IF you show them you believe in them and what they can do. Of all the years I was fortunate enough to play baseball and being involved in the game I have enjoyed coaching softball just as much. That's something I would've never imagined myself ever saying but now that I've coached softball for a few years I enjoy the hell out of it

Seems like more side with the player, but not knowing anything about these people, I side with the coach on this one. Don't get in the post game handshake line up if you're just going to show poor sportsmanship and be passive aggressive. Coach should not have slapped, but when you're being an a-hole don't be shocked when you're met with the same.

Had she not went through and shaken EVERY player's hand for the entire 3 game series EXCEPT for the coach's then I would agree with that entirely. She chose to shake everyone's hand in the line except for the coach's for all 3 games. That tells me that both he and her knew what they were doing and knew what was going on with the situation. He chose to be a dick and got called out on it by a player who was choosing to try to show him up by not shaking his hand. If you're the HC at a top tier Div 1 softball program you have to be bigger than that. Pure and simple. He should be benched 3 games and she should be benched one as well for the return jab at him

So she was a trashy 3 times over looking for a confrontation and finally got one the 3rd time around.
