I think it's definitely thug behavior, just not necessarily football players being thugs.

It's a sad and tragic event no matter what the cause, whether it's an argument over a girl or whatever. And I'm not making judgments on the players who were involved. They are the victims in my mind.

Bottom line is somebody decided to pull out a gun and shoot a bunch of people, unless they were defending themselves from a gang style curb stomping, I cant imagine a scenario where that kind of action doesn't make them a thug POS.

Well this is an awesome thing to wake up to. I don't want to read through the whole thread, so can anyone give me an update? Are they all alright?

Some type of pool party last night to watch the fight. Some argument got started over a guy talking to a girl and someone pulls out a gun. Former Auburn Tigers, Ed Christian and Ladarious Phillips both shot dead. Current Auburn Tiger, Eric Mack shot but Ok. Not sure about others but there could be more.

No real details more than that..

Sad news to see this morning.

I know Auburn is a nice town much like Fayetteville. Its just odd how these things happen even in the safest of places.

Its really scary the world we live in now. People feel that when they feel slighted in the least, shooting someone is the answer. All it does is ruin peoples lives and solves nothing, but complicates things much worse.

I've always felt safe in Fayetteville. Even here, we have had about 3-4 shootings in the last week and a half.

I am a gun owner, avid hunter, and in favor of keeping guns legal, but there has to be a way to keep guns out of young peoples hands. At least pistols.

Prayers to all famalies involved in this traggic incident.

Wow just wow just read through the whole thread, went to sleep last night before word came out on this, and wake up to this horrible situation. If all initial reports are true about it being some stupid person pulling a gun out and opening fire all because of some bullshite misunderstanding over a female then wow. My thoughts and prayers go out to Christian and Phillips families and all others involved in this horrible tragedy. I've seen different conflicting reports on Mack so I'll just say that I hope he is alright and will pull through. My thoughts and prayers also go out to the Auburn family, I am a very proud resident of the state of Al and when you see something like this it disintegrates the lines and allegiances we all have for college teams and makes our disputes, fights, and beefs in life and on here seem insignificant. I hope no one else loses their life who was involved and I also hope this somehow unites the AU family and makes them stronger.

Just terrible.

3 dead from all reports over nonsense.

Read somewhere that Tre Mason was at the party as well, but tweeted that he is ok.

Prayers to all the victims and the deceased families.
