OSU screwed themselves. They chose to let Pryor and crew play in a bowl game and accepted 2011 as their bowl ban year. The way I see it, they got off easy. Should've been hit with lack of institutional control.

2) Why did anyone think the 2015 team was going to win an SEC title?

IDK. I am a big believer that a good QB can mask a lot of problems. I thought AU had the best QB in the SEC coming into the year. Duke Williams & Ricardo Louis at WR. Lawson, Adams and Cowart at DL. New but good OL. I thought AU was loaded with talent and, most importantly, a favorable schedule. Just read it wrong

Losing all that talent coupled with Chiz's shitshow recruiting class has Auburn where it is today.

? Jeremy Johnson, Duke Williams, Ricardo Louis, Jovon Robinson, were supposed to light up that offense. Three of the four are MIA now.

We were told AU only needed an average defense to win games with a much easier schedule in '15 because the offense was primed to be tops in the country.

Lawson, McKinzy, Frost, Cowart were projected to be great. The defensive staff is superb with Mushcamp/Garner/Thompson, right?

Texas (with their backup QB), Notre Dame (LOL) and LSU were not on par with the 2013 Florida State team. Offensively, defensively and special teams, they were the best from top to bottom. Nobody beats Florida State in 2013.

I never saw them as true contenders though like any fan I was hopeful. I honestly thought 8-10 wins was to be expected though because of what you mentioned above. I was count MSU and arkie in those win totals.

100% agree with that. they got by on the old 'oh our players weren't told the rules' excuse which is in itself basically admitting to lack of control.
