He has won a game on the road. That is something Grant couldn't do this year.

Just curious: Is there even one synagogue within 100 miles of Auburn?

I can't imagine a scenario where you're serious, but in case i'm overestimating you, of course there is.

There is at least one in auburn (not counting opelika, columbus, le grange), and auburn is less than 100 miles from the suburbs of birmingham, and the same is true about atlanta.
Temple Beth Or is only 45 miles away in Montgomery. Shabbat Service is at 6:00 on Friday evening "All are Welcome"!!!!

They have some of the best food during their festivals, fantastic Jewish BBQ every spring.

nothing of any real significance.

But he did go to an elite 8. That's a big deal.

but he's now the 2nd or 3rd best coach in the conference, so AU has that going for them. Unfortunately.

True, so did Gottfried though

also true.

What I'm getting at, and perhaps this is comes with the territory of being an Alabama fan, there's really only one prize in collegiate athletics. A national championship. I don't believe Pearl combined with Auburn basketball is enough to accomplish that.

Disagree. Basketball is WAY different. NCAA tourney appearances, regular season SEC titles, and SEC tourney titles matter a lot to most non elite basketball programs. For example, Alabama fans and fans of other non elite basketball programs would be content with going to the NCAA tournament most years. We don't require basketball coaches to win it all to keep their job.

Yep. Back to being Bamas daddy. Just like we have been most ofmy life.

Congratulations on winning one national title in your lifetime. That puts you in the same class as the University of Washington and Georgia Tech. You should probably celebrate.

Especially SEC titles. You've gotta win those while you can when UK's down.

The trophy is certainly nicer than the stupid pyramid for winning the SEC tournament.

Oh I agree with you. Pearl is a good coach, but he doesn't have NC's to propel AU over Bama as the top program in Alabama.

fwiw SEC titles are a big deal too
