I think there is a pretty good chance they lose Shon Coleman. I would be very surprised if they hold on to him AND add Lattimore.

I agree.

By all accounts Bama will sign 3 more.Stone,Arie K. and probably a D-lineman.It should be interesting on Rivals but the other sites will be tough for Auburn to pass Bama.Scout for sure not but with ESPN and their crappy rankings you never know. Both are doing a great job and should be happy and congratulated.

Not a flame, but seriously, HOW?
How does Auburn convince Alabama boys to go to them rather than Bama? Especially after Bama just won a NC.

Absolutely. Not to mention, a lot of our coaching staff is still developing relationships with the HS coaches around the Southeast.

Auburn is going to sign more than a full class because they are under the 85 limit by a ton

28 is the SEC limit

Not when you have guys that can enroll in January and be counted towards last year's class - which is what they're doing.

Most of their high profile guys are from out of state. Cam Newton, Michael Dyer, Shon Coleman, Trevon Reed, etc...

I'm happy to know a coach with an overall losing record came in and suddenly shook up the SEC in recruiting, and is also spanking Nick Saban in the in-state recruiting. But they're still calling Alabama cheaters? Makes me wonder...

Link? Last I checked, the highest rated players in the state were committed to Alabama.

Bama has 6 of the top 10 players in state (3 of top 5), and Auburn has 3 top 10 players in state. Clemson has 1.

As much as I wish this were true... not really. Maybe competing more, but not spanking.

Why don't you ask Trovon Reed why he chose Auburn over LSU? Maybe he could give you some insight.

Playing time, come start on our shitty team, or ride the bench on a national champion.

A lot of guys would rather play for a loser, than sit on a winner.

The only school that I've heard Coleman is also looking at is Bama. I think we'll hold on to him. I'd love to get Latt, I think its a long shot, but we'll see.

Lemonier is down to AU and FSU, and I think AU has a slight lead at this point.

Mack is one that might switch from USCe to AU, but you never know.

I know Auburn is gonna end up with either Whitaker or Thornton, maybe both. Whitaker is the most likely, and he's visiting this weekend.

And finally, I'd keep an eye on Vic Beasley. It wouldn't shock me if he switched to AU, but I wouldn't count on it.

Auburn can offer immediate playing time which is very important to most recruits today even though most of them are not ready to play immediately. It is not easy for most freshman to come in and be really effective immediately, especially in the SEC.

As you have written, may it be so!

Playing time is big, but add to it:

- Great recruiters
- exciting offense (at least from players POV)
- a player's HC
- and I dunno...maybe AU is a nice place maybe?
