Auburn’s offensive line looked bad against Georgia Southern even prior to Clemson, FYI.

new playcaller and that would've made ALL of the difference in the world against Clemson. Also, Stidham now allowed to call his own protections for the OL. Kerryon Johnson also was out. Stidham was rusty.

All i can say is though....we lost.....but I damn sure hope we get another shot at Clemson in the playoff.

Not really, he A. Didn’t handle pressure well nor throw it away and B. Can not convince anyone he will keep a ball on the read because he doesn’t have any speed. Not a bad thing he’s just a more traditional QB who needs a lot of protection in pass pro.

Obivously you haven't seen Stidham run. He's no Nick Marshall, but he can run.

I'll be pulling for Auburn to win, as that's a much easier road for Clemson in the playoffs, but it looks like Bama and Georgia have the horses to do the same thing Clemson did.
Which is what?

Barely score against them at home?

Yes, that.

And completely overwhelm their O-line, moving Stidham out of the pocket where he is much less likely to pose a threat. Clemson scored a lot more than they needed to in that game.

Stidham moved himself out of the pocket. Gus talked about how they worked with him to trust his blocking more and stay in the pocket. You can see he is doing better at that. Here's one of him staying in the pocket (in the endzone), with a D lineman coming in from the outside.

Here is him running out of the pocket, when he would've had plenty of time by just stepping up in the pocket:

It's obvious that you only watch Clemson games. Auburn has improved drastically on offense since the Clemson game. The offensive line was shuffled around and our best RB is healthy. We'd absolutely beat Clemson right now, no question in my mind.

Totally, bro. Only auburn has improved. Clemson hasn't gotten any better. Y'all would murder us now.

Another Clemson fan bragging about SEC victories because it's the only benchmark worth a frick since otherwise they'd have to brag about victories over Wake Forest and Boston College

I guess we could brag about beating you 56-7, or about taking down the Bama dynasty.

You've had plenty of chances to get a win against Clemson the past few seasons. If it was going to happen, it would have happened by now. Clemson is just better than auburn in every conceivable way.

It should haunt Gus almost as much as the abomination if an offense he ran out against Clemson in 2016. Truth is that Gus was still running his outdated Gus bus offense in week 2 and had not given control to Chip Lindsey. As expected, a team with equal or better talent to AU will eat that offense up which has played out 3 to 4 times in the last 2 years. AU has led the power 5 in explosive plays since Chip took command of offense in week 3. I wish we could have seen that offense against Clemson although they are the better team no doubt IMO.

I've seen every game and no he can't run. He has no speed. He is a 4.8 guy at best. Sorry but it's just what he has. See gif above for a DL chasing him down.

Bama is comparable and UGA is close behind. That is a false statement.

I think Auburn would play much better and their chances of beating Clemson would be much higher if they played this week compared to week 2. The three biggest takeaways from that game was 1) Clemson's defense was dominating. They are well coached and have a ton of talent. When they are on fire, they are on fire. 2) Gus's piss poor coaching. Offense looked lost and Gus blew threw timeouts before the the first five minutes of the game was gone. Auburn had opportunities and they pissed them away. 3) Clemson's offense was not that great. Their QB made some solid throws but majority of the success in that game was on their QB's legs.

I don't doubt that Clemson is one of the two best teams in the country right now but I do believe they can be beat. Their offense is at their strongest by running the ball. Their QB is the leading rusher and their RB's are very strong splitting the carriers. Their passing game is solid also because of the WR's they have. However, their QB is not lighting up the country passing. He has a good completion percentage and has thrown over 1,000 yards so far but has 4 INT's to his 4 passing TD's. He has made mistakes and Auburn was the best defense they played to this point and Auburn's defense kept the offense in check most of the game. Louisville and VT are good teams and they are solid wins but lets face it...they are no where near as talented as Clemson. Lamar Jackson is an explosive player but if you keep him contained running the ball then he is nothing. Louisville did lose some talent from last year but I don't think it would have mattered. VT is young but they are getting better. With Miami playing well, I think that side of the ACC will be very interesting in the next few years. NCSU could be a tough game with how well their d-line is playing. Their offense is playing well but can they spread Clemson's defense across the field and create problems? It's possible but not likely it will happen. FSU has been a dumpster fire this year and their is no way I seem them walking into Clemson and upsetting them.

In long, Clemson's defense will eventually struggle in one or possibly two games this year, their QB will eventually make a critical mistake, and there will be something that will catch them off guard (a trick play, missed FG or XP, or call). The question is...will it be a team in the ACC (like Pitt last year) or will it be a team they meet in the playoffs? They can be beat but the other question is...can a team take advantage of that opportunity without kicking their own selves in the arse (NC State and Louisville last year)? While there is no doubt that Clemson has elite talent and a very good program right now....they have had a horseshoe up their arse.

When you win every close game, it's not a horseshoe. It's knowing how to win close games. The only game last year where we got lucky was nc st. We should have lost that game; however, had we lost to them we wouldn't have lost to Pitt.

Not really. Bama and UGA probably dont have 4 starting DL between them that will be 1st round picks over the next two years. All of Clemsons starting DL will be. Two of their LBs are projected to be as well. 6/7 of the front 7 are future 1st round draft picks.

So no, neither one if y'all "compare" and the notion of not being far behind is laughable and delusional.
