CapstoneGrad06 has too much bama in him, it's not his fault.

Because every thread doesn't have to have some part of it patting bama on the head?

Not everyone is as impartial and pragmatic as CapstonGrad06. He has an innate ability to discuss SEC football objectively, unlike the rest of us homer simpletons.

Somebody and go wake Ellis from his nap... he's having peaceful dreams about his run on Southern Miss's bank account again.

$800,000 > $740.000. Naps are included in the contract, DWI.

Just my opinion, experience is nice, but I'd like for our staff to get younger moving forward, especially on defense. Craig and Lashlee bring a ton of energy in recruiting.
EJ is the same age as Nick Saban (actually 2 months younger). Saban seems to be recruiting at about the highest level in the country.

Both old geezers go into a recruits home and sit down to sell their program. Which one of these old farts are you gonna sign with?

Just my outsiders opinion - AU needs strong coaches more than they need strong recruiters. Y'all had strong recruiters the last go 'round.

I wasn't comparing EJ to NS in any way but age. Just showing that it's asinine to use age as a factor in recruiting when NS is considered one of the best recruiters in the country. And has been considered as such well before he set foot in Tuscaloosa.

i'm speaking more on position coaches. Johnson wasn't brought in to recruit.

i like the staff we have in place... i just would like to see us go after younger guys as positions open up (something Saban has done a lot of, btw)

Comparing Ellis Johnson to Nick Saban is like comparing a fossilized turd to the Hope diamond.

Sure, they might be the same age, but they sure as hell aren't the same thing.
