I can't imagine he comes back. Although, he better start playing better or he is going to fall out of the what seemed like sure fire top 10 status he had coming into the year. Even if he drops to low first round projection, I still think he is gone though.

I do not see this trend stopping any time soon. Unlike some SEC teams we have not played cupcakes either. What is most impressive; Ellis is doing this with the no talent players he inherited from Chizik. Ellis Johnson doing work.

Cool. Beat Bama, and the Aggies will really be appreciative.

I think Saban might be able to talk him into staying. If he does, it will set up nicely for breaking in a new QB with a solid O-line.

Why? You should blame Auburn's D for shutting down the O. They did a great job.

Because Dan had no trouble moving the ball in the first half. Then he gets a tiny lead and the second half and his arse hole puckers up and the other team's defense "plays awesome." Seen it many many times.

Auburn had no trouble moving the ball early either. Are you going to blame Malzahn for bad play calling or give credit to the MSU D for making the adjustments?

for the most part, he was calling the same plays he did in the first half. Fans sometimes can be ridiculous... if mullen had DP throwing incomplete passes on first down in the 2nd half, state fans would be bitching b/c you didn't run the clock with the lead... IMO, Mullen took some pretty big risks, namely going for it on his own 30 with the lead. No one's bitching about that b/c it worked.

If marshall throws a pick on the final drive, state fans would be praising mullen for Dak's awesome showing and his guts on 4th down.

No I still would bitch because Mullen plays not to lose and we don't have the talent to do that.

that would've involved punting on your own 30 with the lead and a full yard to go.

IMO, i just think the playbook with prescott is limited, or it at least appeared to be... he was more inconsistent passing in the 2nd half. I guess you could blame that on play calling, but I didn't see it that way. AU played a ton more man coverage in the 2nd half and your wideouts weren't as open.

Maybe its because we took sorry arse Jake Holland out of the game when Frost came back from suspension in the second half.

It seems even more limited with Russell in the game.

EJ did a gret job of halftime adjustments.

MSU had 75 yards on the first drive of the second half and 73 yards there after, 18 of which came on the final play. Our D ended the game with 5 straight punts.

I really thought the game was over after Marshall threw the pick at midfield... great job by the D to go right back on the field and hold them.

Yeah. In the postgame interview, EJ said MSU ran 3-4 formations that he hadn't seen on their film before. He also didn't expect Dak to play the entire game. Pretty happy with the second half performance.

We were clearly not well prepared for the designed QB runs and read option game. I'm not sure why. I guess we chose to focus on the RBs and make the young QB beat us. He almost did.

AU will be raped on Saturday. Accepting it now will temper the sting.

LSU will beat us handily maybe so well they don't need to score in the 4th, thus keeping the streak intact. Boom.
