Yes, the refs missed that obvious 12 man call. They also missed an illegal forward pass by Wallace on the last play of the game. Both were equally obvious.

Do you think Devil Malzahn purposely puts 12 out there hoping they don't get caught, or was it just a mistake? I could easily see Malzaney trying to get an unfair advantage.

Increased blown calls like this and other blown penalties, particularly pre-snap procedural penalties, are a direct result of the HUNH offense. Officials are running around like chickens with their heads cut off while HS coaches scream at them to hurry up. Hugh Freeze is one of the biggest proponents of the HUNH offense, so I don't feel bad that it ended up biting Ole Miss in the arse.

In fairness to Auburn we aren't really a HUNH this year, we snap the ball with less than 10 seconds more than we snap it with more than 20 seconds. It is a bit frustrating why we can't get it going more.

I think Malzahn probably actually has plays in his playbook that call for 12 men on the field. He gives it a shot, and if it gets caught its only 5 yards. Scumbag Malzahnny
