What is your take on this year's Auburn team and their "Tebow-esque", "its a God thing" mentality in their run to the title?

Very, very annoying. It takes a pretty childish mindset to believe that God is concerned about a bunch of men chasing around a football. Please.

I think it's pretty sketchy. Especially since everyone in the United States thinks they have cheated.

However, Chizik probably doesn't mean anything by it.

Most people just have a problem with Cam Newton and other dirty players bc it seems like they are huge hypocrites.

If you compare what they say to the way they act on the field you will most likely notice that their Born-Again thing is a bunch of horse shite. Christians aren't supposed to act like thugs.

I think you are missing the point of praising God after a win. They aren't crediting him for giving them more points. They are thanking Him for giving them the opportunity.

The only thing that bothers me is that I believe that certain things are at play that reflect badly on the Christian faith. If I was in Chizik situation though, I wouldn't just not praise God for the win. I really don't know how to handle the situation.

It's obvious that not everyone is "all in".

It's fine to talk it, but it looks terrible when you talk it and don't walk it and the most public Auburn players certainly don't seem to walk it. So, in a couple of words, it looks like hypocritical bullshite.

my only beef with it, I have no problem with people having faith... but lets not be handing out 200k dollar check at the back door while we preach.

While I agree, as a born again Christian, I still do lots of things I'm not supposed to do as well.

That is the point of grace. Not to become perfect, but to know forgiveness for the imperfect.

I'm not saying it is a license for wrong-Paul addresses that as well.

I think it's one thing for coach/player to thank God for allowing them the opportunity to be in that position, but I think it's retarded to say "God was with us tonight", clearly implying that he had some impact on the outcome of the game.

This.

Ninety percent of christians just do lip service to god. It goes no deeper than that. Auburn is like the dregs of that group.

Chiznick himself seems like he at least tries.

Look at all the professional Christians who think they know what God plays a part in.

personally I feel that my faith has been shattered because it's obvious now that God is a cheater who resorts to nefarious means to procure titles for the dirtiest groups in the world.

I just find it funny that people like Chizik say stupid shite about having God behind them as if God is up there choosing sides and just decided to say, "frick the rest of the world. I'm backing my man The Chiz." Just seems so silly to say stupid shite like that.
