Have not watched Auburn yet this season despite a couple snaps from the UGA game. What is the problem this year? Was expecting more out of Auburn this season.

Bo Nix is still playing like he was in HS. No real elite players on D. Britt out at MLB is killing us.

The inability to adjust as the game goes on. The lack of leadership on the sidelines. Going away from an explosive offense since 2015. The refusal to recruit quarterbacks that fit his system. The stubborn, inexplicable pattern of signing pro style drop back qbs to run a zone read scheme.

In a nutshell...

Nix’s decision making and accuracy have regressed coupled with Chad’s pass happy offense.

Key injuries on defense.

I mean there are so many things to complain about here it's hard to know really where to begin

Bad in the trenches courtesy of poor recruiting

Bad QB development courtesy of... well we have never really had a QB get better under Malzahn, we can't protect him, and we haven't recruited the position well, so there's a lot this is courtesy of

Weird personnel management

Weird offensive philosophy at times

Degrading team chemistry

Why do you think Auburn runs a zone read scheme?

I'm not an Auburn fan, and you boviously know more about it than I do....but I have watched our game and at least 1 other game y'all played in and your offensive scheme seems to be okay.

My honest opinion is that Gus is meddling with the offense. I don't think he has taken it over, but the scheme against us seemed fine. It was more unpredictable. But halfway through the 3rd quarter I began to see the old scheme creep in. I honestly thought Gus got frustrated and started calling the plays again.

I also wonder if you have the right personnel for the scheme. For some of the plays called you seem to have the wrong personnel on the field and if they are on the field the wrong players are running the wrong routes.

Schwartz is fast, but it takes more than speed to play WR. He doesn't seem to be aware of where the ball is going and how to put himself in position to make the play. He seems lost as far as adjusting his routes according to the personnel lined up across from him. (Not sure if that is coaching or stubborness to not change on his part)

There are dozens of reasons your offense is not clicking. Oline is another thing.

On the plus side you have Tank Bigsby and DJ Williams. both look to be solid backs if they are not run into the ground. Bigsby in particular looks really, really good picking up yardage when it looks like he should be stopped. But he is going to get beat to death if the OLine doesn't improve.

Sorry. I don't mean to rag on your team, but those are just a few of the things I have noticed. Like I said, though, you know more about your team than I do. I have only seen limited amounts of them.

They did until Gus decided to go away from it in 2015. They still try it from time to time with Nix.

In addition to my other points, I’ll add the strange decision to only let certain wrs run certain routes, or only certain plays. Perhaps if we ran the whole offense with the same 11 players, we would be less predictable.

This. I think he got so used to being elite in HS that he still thinks he can run or throw his way out of anything, and it will be OK. Needs to learn to trust his teammates and throw the ball away and reboot on next play.

Bad o-line recruiting

HS scheming and operation on offense that won’t develop a QB

apparently in-fighting among the players and the coaches

He looked pissed off with His teammate and his Coach, and acted like he still had a HS temper tantrum on the sidelines. Nix has shown zero leadership the last few weeks, he is in his head too much, makes you wonder if he’s a coachable player.

That is what I have been complaining about. The OL can't protect you when you drop back two steps and run. He had plenty of clean pockets yesterday and then just runs and wings it. Reminds me of Manzel with no accuracy.

It's not. We ran the ball against Arky but Morris wants to throw 4 out of every 5 downs. We ran the ball for over 200 yards on SC, averaging over 5 ypc, and Morris want to throw it 47 times. I thought he was a good OC. I could not have been more wrong.

We are undisciplined. We have no leadership. At certain positions we have no depth. Our OL and DL are sub-par for this league. Our HC makes bone headed in game decisions. (we score a TD to go up 9-0 on SC, in the first quarter, and our HC decides to go for two...........for some dumbass reason)..............other than all of those things, we aren't bad.

When had he ever been accurate?

Even in his "win" against Bama last year his #'s were putrid.
